It does look like we could have enough shooting. May be different guys different games but especially Jones, Storr, Wusu and Mathis can shoot it. Hopefully we can put two good half’s together against Nebraska.

Curious why we even play teams like Central Connecticut, instead of some crappy local NY schools

Storr can play obviously
Mathis and WUSU worked hard on their shooting, have to applaud that. As much as I like the 2 point guards, not sure it will work against better teams, especially if keeps Storr on bench….
Not sure trust Stanley as 1st big off bench

Made it through our 3 warm up games unscathed... next 3 will hopefully be a good barometer of where this season can go... Feedback on what I've seen so far:

Wow: David Jones- we are lucky he and Joel are friends. Does everything- but bit of a shaky handle, but he shouldn't be in that position often.

Impressed: Soriano - Gonna need him to stay out of foul trouble...not much depth behind him. Storr - this kid needs more minutes now, cause we'll need him come BE play. Wusu/Mathis- both are playing within themselves are are hitting open shots.

Not what i was expecting: Stanley - has some nice finishes around the rim at times, but was expecting more aggressive play esp vs the opeing opponents. Pinzon- still seems a step slow on D, not a huge fan of the Long range 2 he keeps taking.

Below expectations: Posh - think this is because i just expect perfection with his every action out there. There was a lot of talk about the work he's put into his shooting.... not seeing it... actually seems a bit worse than last year. Still our heart and soul- hopefully sees a couple jumpers fall to get that confidence flowing.

Thought Joel was holding ball too long when he got it down low. He must either go up before doulble team or kick out and have someone else make the double team pay. The zone was better in helping our bigs not get stuck covering outside and getting beat off the dribble. Glad to see 9 guys with double didget minutes and no one in the 30's. Top minutes tonight to Andre and POsh at 26 is ideal as he continues to go all out. The game was definitely a "Tale of Two Halves". Would love to know what CMA said in the 1/2 locker chat but it worked.

Memo to others, don’t rely on fox sports to catch the replays of games. Shows the providence stone hill score and then just goes black.

Sounds like I didn’t miss much and everyone is in their normal cheerful post game mood. Told you Storr could shoot. Time to husk some corn.

Attendance reported as 3,611. Not the interest I had hoped for.

Bingo! CCS adjusted on Joel and double or triple teamed him. He needs to be more decisive with the ball and make his move before they collapse on him, or else pass it right out. If he's is being defended by multiple players that means one or two guys are open. A quick pass or two will lead to either an open shot or drive before they can rotate. He was also positioning himself further away from the basket than those early plays.
That zone was a thing of beauty, we have enough tall quick perimeter players to make it effective, more please.
