This has to mean 1 of 2 things: 1) Matt took advantage of this ish show of a staff headed nowhere and told him to abandon ship and come to Nebraska or 2) He was told Mullin is likely out.

Why would he care if Mullin is out? He probably never met him or even talked with him. Talk about a real mess.
 
If Mullin stays, I'd let him out with the caveat he can't go to Nebraska.

If Mullin goes, I'd let him go wherever he wants.
 
Holy crap can someone do something with this team? Simon transfer and Heron go pro tomorrow's announcement? Get off your asses and act. Don't have an uncertain coaching situation waste another year of SJU basketball

I was wrong but was hoping that his ties to Figgy would prevail. Guess it didn't help that nobody else on the Staff had reached out to him.
Would think things happen fast from here on.
