Know he & AD barely spoke, but he resigned a few months ago. Strange.

This would be awful for the conference. Marquette to Va Tech is a huge step down for him WTF?

Yea I just saw this. Not good at all. But honestly I am starting to believe that a super strong St. John's team might be the best for the conference. Slightly outweighing the benefits of the type of year the BE had last year

Marquette is better in every way...history, facilities, talent, ease of winning the conference and getting to the dance....
 
I heard about this rumor but never thought it was legit. Shocked about this, if he was gonna jump ship I would of thought it would of been for a bigger job, not a lateral or even worse job. Bad news the Big East

@ESPNAndyKatz: Former UCLA coach Ben Howland wants Marquette. He wants back in the Big East. He makes sense to continue similar path of play.
 
@EvanDaniels: Buzz Williams had 3 2014 4-star recruits signed, plus a 4-star in 2015. The coaching carousel is about to shake up the recruiting world.
 
Terrible move IMO but it isn't my life. Steve needs to get on those recruits if they are released. Howland would be a nice get for Marquette.
 
ive been to Blacksburg twice - it is the worst place in America.
they have a lot of money and big time facilities but it is the asshole of the earth.
great hire for them
