@Butler, Wed., Feb. 28, 8:30p, CBSSN

CBS Sports App, Maher. That's how those of us who live in the modern world watch TV.

I think Paultz still has cable and Monte and Carmine use rabbit ears.

Logen is still listening on a radio he built from a kit, I think.

Jack Williams,.I think he got the Elon Musk brain implant that streams the games directly into his frontal lobe. Kids today, man.
Part of my text group with monte and Maher last week, get ready for mahers version of something like this coming soon but to span as many posters as his knowledge will allow.

It’s time to dance. Bottom line - if you can’t beat this Butler team in a must win game, the team doesn’t deserve to dance. I don’t care if it’s an away game or whatever.

The team is very fortunate to be back in position where they control their own destiny. A few things clicked on Sunday. Let’s hope that carries over and we go on a nice run to the dance!!

Tonight is a season defining game and the reason Rick is here, the reason he turned over a 7-13 roster, the reason a bunch of kids turned down better offers from more successful programs.

Right now there are three teams vying for 5th place - us, Nova, and Providence. We can't worry about that right now.

It took an entire season for Rick to find this rotation, to still be a good team when Joel isn't going 20/12, to see the Dingle we all expected, for Wilcher to play like a kid with real upside, for this to clearly be Jenkin's team.

Don't under estimate Rick's preparation for this game, and he may tweak the lineup again. Taylor played a key role Sunday with 10 rebounds and solid D, but while we were critical of Luis' 1-6 shooting, Taylor was 2-6. Don't be surprised if Rick shuffles the deck to create better matchups. Don't be surprised if Ledlum steps up and provides more than his meat and potatoes board work and hard nosed play. Alleyne may provide the lift that helped carry UCONN to a championship. Zuby is dying to show he is our center of the future.

Essentially comes down to a one game season with 3 to go. Rick recruited players he assessed as PHD. Tonight 6 seniors are playing to keep the curtain from going down.

I like our chances.

Beast, you could be right but I really doubt CRP will change the starting lineup which was so good last game. Key with Taylor is he is the kind of player whose shooting stats don't begin to tell the story; not only did he have 10 rebounds and play great D he also had 6 assists tied for team lead (Luis had 0).

Agree. If Luis had Taylor's bball IQ he'd be a potential lottery pick.

Honestly, no disrespect to Taylor but I am surprised he's now being championed as this high BBIQ guy. He has been committing dumb fouls all season. He's the guy on the playground who plays basketball like its football. If the refs allow it, he becomes very valuable for us. If not, he gets played off the court quickly.

It’s the life of a Johnnie fan. Good game. You’re the best. Bad game. Do not want to know from you.

Dingle promising to step up and change his thinking:

Whether or not Rick changes up the starting lineup or not isn't the question but rather as fans we are reactive to the immediate past precedence of results.

Rick and staff watch mounds of video to help determine strategy and matchups to put the guys on the floor who give us a marked advantage.

Rick has a palette of experienced guys and as such is not painting with primary colors. I'm not saying he will or should make changes, but if he does will do so based on his expert analysis of what we need to do and who gives us the best chance to do it.

Side note on Luis: Soriano has drawn double and sometimes triple coverage during the season because teams had low confidence in our ability to hit outside shots consistently. So his performance is based somewhat on the failures of teammates.

Luis is the one guy on the roster that 5 defenders watch with the ball in his hands. Yes, he needs to be reigned in, but the ability to command so much attention makes
Positive vibes only for now...but in our post season wrap up, we gonna have a loooong conversation about how long it took Pitino to get Dingle to where he is now.
Because 90% of the game is physical, the other half is mental.

He got there by the way that he was thinking. It says it in the article. He's decided to change his thinking.
