@Butler, Wed., Feb. 26 , 9p, CBSSN

This is the trap game of all trap games. Coming off a big win. Hinckle is a.hard place to win. Players dinged up. Butler is well coached and will be gunning for a signature win. Was more worried about this game than U Conn and still am.

Think the key may be getting productive minutes from bench players looking for some time in the sun.
Mean Gene has genetically infused himself into LMF’s brain.

Butler is not a great matchup for us. We can’t let them dictate the way this game is played. Telfort and Brooks are a real problem.

Rick will have to work some psychological magic here to get them up to start the game.
Agreed. Butler gave us some trouble at Carnesecca earlier this season. Was tied with 5 mins left before we were able to pull away. Though we did shoot 1-21 from 3 that game.

Hinkle always tough. Another game where we’re on shorter rest and have to travel. We were able to make Telfort and Brooks work for all their points last game. Will have to do that again.

Rick talks a lot of nonsense but one thing he’s right about is we can lose games like this. We’ll only be favs by about 6 or 7

Based on how Pitino talked, I doubt Kadary plays.

I don’t think this should be a trap game since they’re playing a worser opponent at home & playing for the regular season title should keep them up.

I don’t think Butler is all that good either. But they’re good enough to beat us on a bad night

Most important game of this season. That's this team's key to success. Worry only about the game ahead, and nothing else. It's been mentioned by posters that this team has no margin for error. The team has shown time and again that they can overcome poor shooting and poor stretches early, so there is a margin for error. Except for 1 aspect of the game. They must give maximum effort. What's been a given all season, which is extremely rare in team sports in what is a long season, is to being it every game. Our guys haven't taken a game off yet, and I don't expect them to start now.

I think Kadary just pulled another groin.

I'll call Oheka if you are around and we will get Section 9. St Johns wins you pay the bill we lose I do either way section 9 caught ordering crazy bourbon with you and Gary

I don’t look ahead to games only the next one but since we played them earlier this season, I was worried about the return game against them in their place. Still am as I don’t like this match up. They will be looking for revenge with their fans storming the court and have Wilcher’s attempted windmill dunk with the game no longer in doubt seared in their memory.

They will out for blood.

Because of the groin problems to both RJ and Richmond Pitino will have to confer with both players and medical personnel and make decisions on resting the two. The regular season schedule ends with games Wed. then Sat. and then off till the following Sat. This would allow nine days of rest if either player sat out the Seton Hall game.
How bad are the groin problems, could SJU have the regular season championship locked up prior to the Seton Hall game, will one or both benefit from the rest with a possible three games in three days in the big east tournament coming up and how important is NCAA seeding to Pitino?
