We have 4 guys with 2 fouls, and we know Pitino's policy there. Ayo is giving great minutes...such a heady kid but the lack of minutes to this date cost him that layup and perhaps the in and out trey. Smith finally learning to be aggressive.

Prey made a few mistakes and showed some adjustments.

Butler making some lucky shots and the ball is bouncing their way. I think we cover.

Players have been unhappy with the coaching all year. And from what I see I can't blame them.

There's coaching and there's teaching and then there's pulling guys and screaming at them. Some of those things are productive and some are not. Also some players can handle a certain style and some can't.

Pitino is clearly in the mode of "if you don't like it, that's your problem, you can leave and I'll get someone tougher than you who will do what I want."

Not an awesome way to make players feel valued and get the most out of them. And if you want to win games you're going to need those players.

The proof is in the results: he's gotten the most out of Zuby. RJ is RJ. Who else do you think he has maximized the ability and productivity of? My answer is nobody - and to the contrary he's managed to do a lot of damage to the production of players who should be key elements of his team.

The vibe from my spot a few rows back has been bad all year and I can absolutely understand why.

I’m not that far and literally I’ve seen nothing different in Butker players till about 10 minute mark players are up after rare bade baskets with players come out they have been going down the bench slapping hands. If they start not listening to him in the huddle then I’ll worry

I viewed him as a 2nd round pick at best. I never ever viewed him as a 1st rounder. He can be a really solid player when he's focused and has things rolling. Too often, he plays "Me" ball and kills the flow as well as force shots.

He needs to continue to work on his perimeter shot and the mental aspects of the game.
 
I think Rick needs to keep Scott in the game and let him work his way out if the slump. There is certainly an organizational issue when every player but one looks like he’s regressed from last season where ever they played.

The first half has been awful but saying you don’t care if Pitino comes back next year is pretty silly. This is our last opportunity for relevance so we better all hope Pitino and company succeed.

SJ likely wins today, but you have to give credence to LMF’s and Logen’s recent assessments of Pitino’s sub par performance this season. His guys not being prepared today is on him and as they noted, his decision making w rotations is safely head scratching. How well he motivates this group is another concern.

Vince also plays me ball.......once he touches the ball......he ain't giving it up!
 
All of this is very frustrating and I get the inclination to blame coaching.

Before doing that though ask yourself how much coaching is to blame for guys making 6-figures a year and looking as PATHETIC shooting 3’s as I do when I’m dicking around at the playground with my kids!
