Butler Game

Another gut punch.

Kids played their backsides off on defense, but time and again we have to watch a shooter kill us while our offense comes down to D-lo making a play.

Sorry folks, but this is a mediocre team in a mediocre conference. Good teams don't lose that game at home. There's still some time, but this season could easily spiral out of control. I know it's not popular to say this sort of stuff around here, but it's true.
 
Coaching staff takes a couple of years off recruiting, and now can't field enough players. This was not supposed to happen again. As the loses continue should it be expected that people show up at games. Why was this allowed to happen?
 
What a crap week. I don't even care to go on Tuesday. One of the worst weeks I can remember as an SJU fan.
 
Poor dangelo. You can tell he feels his senior season slipping through his damn fingers even though he is playing his best basketball ever

Tough loss. You just can't afford to lose at home in this league...bye bye top 25.
Pointer took 13 shots (0-3 from three)...many at key points. We can't win in the Big East with him doing that. A three by Pointer is an empty possession.

That said, I have no faith in SJU so who cares anymore.

You'd think we might try and recruit a shooter ourselves at some point.

All is basically said and done since only 3 BE out of conference games remain. The conference RPI ranking will remain second, at worst third.

That said, it doesn't help when the worst team DePaul starts out 2-0.

It's tied. The loss isn't on him but that was huge.
Well whoever said: " If Jordan is done, then we're done." Is 100%. I was just hoping that others would step it, well here are our sub #s 1board and 1 lousy assist.

I hate to sould negative but if no Jordan on Tuesday then we'll be 0-3.
I think he would have been the difference today.

I've been on this site for YEARS. Yes, I created this account this year but I've been here for a long time, reading every comment in every thread. Most message boards I never post on, just read. I've also posted on other message boards throughout the years supporting SJU.

EDIT: and I both joined and posted before the season.

I'll be there if course but not optimistic right now.y coworker is also going with his brother who was a walkon at Nov.
 
Honestly I don't know what to say here. 0-3 looks like it is happening and unlike last year we don't have the depth that suggests we can turn things around
 
its really amazing we haven't had a good shooter in 15 years except for dwight hardy in the last ten games of his senior season
