Bryant, Wed., Dec. 11, 7p, CBSSN

Bryant doesn't play a system conducive to knocking off or even keeping it close against superior opponents. They play super fast, don't force turnovers, and give up way too many 2nd chances.

I'd be surprised if Lefty, Glover, Ayo etc. don't get a good amount of burn in the 2nd half of this one

You're probably right, but I'm sure that CRP will impress upon the team the importance of staying focused and not underestimating any team. This year, especially after Baylor, EVERY game is BIG. Another non-conference loss would be problematic with respect to what this team wants to achieve and is more than capable of achieving. Let's go Johnnies!!!!

This game also marks the return of a guy who was asked to do too much by Fr. Harrington during our dark years.

"David C. Wegrzyn '86, M.Ed., Vice President of University Advancement

He previously served as Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Providence College and as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at St. John's University in NY, where he gained significant experience in capital campaign management, managing major gift and annual giving solicitations that raised more than $260 million for St. John's most recent capital campaign."

I was in a car with Dave and Coach C. and several others when we played in Tucson for an NCAA loss to Gonzaga. Coach, being retired, was in his fly fishing days and on our way to a Cubs-White Sox spring training game on St. Patrick's Day, he wanted to stop at an Orvis store to check out their gear. Of course the clerk was an ex-NYer and immediately recognized him. Didn't buy anything so we went to the game, had seats in the blazing sun which prompted a move to a suite for Coach since he was worried about his skin.

Lou became a trout fisherman when he retired? Really interesting. Another whole dimension to him.

I expect this game to be closer than Kansas St. Not so much a let down by us (maybe to start) - but think they keep it within 10-15. Dont think we see the same Zuby (he clearly plays up to the comp- which is good) - but maybe some more experimenting by Rick- getting Jaiden/Prey/Vince more mins....

And... dont laugh... but Pinzon... lol.... dudes a bucket. kid is shooting 53%!!! from 3.... he's a Senior now... really liked him when he was here- so he'll be extra fired up. They got two others right under 40%... gonna have to guard the line well.

Taking Bryant and the points on this one (think it will open around +23)

Not sure Pinzon will react well to SJU physicality.

Pinzon never scored more than 14 points at Carnesecca Arena. While he was always a potentially talented offensive player, he's clearly at the right level to thrive. That being said, I don't think he's seen many defenders like RJ Luis who will likely be on him in this game, this season.

I like our chances to keep him in check.

I am tired of these types of games. I think this and Deleware are all that are left.

We will crush Bryant on Wed.

I think there should be 2 or 3 max of these kinds of games a season. And they should be the 1st 3 games.

Cupcakes in mid december should be off the table.
