Bronx Bombers 2017 Season Thread

It is only April, but this is an interesting bunch. Starting pitching still needs to be solved.
 
CC is 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA, he been our best picher.

04/10 vs TB W 8-1 7.2 2 1 1 1 0 11 Took a perfect game into the 7.

Need to back that up with another solid performance, say 7inning giving up 2 or 3 runs.
 
He & the yankees have risen. 6 wins in a row.
yesterday's offense (without sanchez, didi, holliday) did it with walks, wild pitches, wiffing 17 times.
they are winning the one run games with little offense & good pitching, although against lowly rays & cards.

7innings 6hits, 6Ks, and a walk for Pineda. Nice

Headley is tearing it up batting 410, Hicks 3HRs and batting 318, nice turn around from last year.
And Bird broke out tonight 3-3 with a HR and a double, 2 runs scored and 2 cRBIs

Lets see if Montgomery can keep this going?
 
on Easter, he/he/they have risen. pineda won back to back starts - did not think that would happen. bird broke out. yanks won 7 in a row.
 
Nice to have a 7 game winning streak but such streaks are invariably followed by slides. Let's hope we can stay in the playoff race all season.

Question answered 6 shutout innings before trouble in the 7th, and the hitters put up 7 more. 8 straight baby.
Would great to finish this home stand undefeated at 9-0

Severino, you're up next. Another game similair pitched game as last Thursdays?
 
yanks in al - offense - first in triples, total bases, on base %, slugging %.
second in runs, batting average, home runs, rbi.
third in pitching era.

first time warren gave up either a hit or a walk.

My son took me to Saturday's afternoon game v. Cardinals - definitely excitement in the air...

as a long time Yankees fan - (13 World Series appearances in my first 15 boyhood years on this planet - talk about being spoiled lol)

I will be pleased w a .500 record though it seems we might better that! I would be plessed w/17-19 Ws for SJU 2017-18 - I try to balance optimism w reality :)

A prior post alluded to Matt being a Mets fan and a stressing out w the Mets' great expectations and doubts -
On the contrary:
I think he's a Yankees fan and is being rejuvenated to recruit better than ever!
