Fowler ruptured right patella tendon running into a wall in his first ML inning, immediate surgery and out for the rest of the year. Just brutal. Gets ML pay though while out.
Need to call an outfielder up to replace him. Oh, wait we can't. Placed Austin on the DL and send Andujar back down (after going 3-4 with four RBIs in his ML debut) for Fowler, DFA Mason so we could put Carter (who we DFA last week) back on the 40 Man and then placed on the ML 25 Man to give them a first basemen (if you want to call him that as I have seen little evidence that he has much of a glove there). So by DFA Mason, he is in limbo and might get picked up by another team (and all he has done fine ever time they call him up). With Fowler now going to the 60 Day DL which leaves an open spot on the 40 man and we might see Clint Frazier added to it and then called up to replace Fowler. Andujar can return immediately as he doesn't have to wait the required 10 days after being sent down since he would be replacing an injured player. Or they can add or maybe they jus and I guess is play well whenever called up). Mark Payton or Jake Cave would be other options who would have to be added to the 40 man.
Great update!

Don't think it automatically has to be an outfielder. Gardner, Ellsbury, and Judge are pretty set out there, and they have Refsnyder in a pinch, if they need him. It does need to be a position player though. In fact, I'd like to see two bench players come up, and a pitcher get cut, so that we don't have to have 10 pitching changes ever night.
Also, if he's going to play both Romine and Sanchez every night, I'd prefer Sanchez at first (even if that's giving up a little bit of defense) and Romine catching. Romine just seems to have a much better working relationship with this pitching staff, then Sanchez does (I am by no means advocating for the removal of Sanchez from the lineup - that would just be plain ridiculous).
