Big East TV Contract Done

I think you raised a great point . And , very much to the future likelihood .
I do subscribe to Center Ice on Dish cable for about $75 a year.
I get every game , every night unless it’s being televised on the NHL Network or ESPN in its various components .
I can see the future being if you want to see every St John’s Game , home and away , it will cost you $75-$100 a season .
It’s just getting outrageous .
You want to watch the Kentucky Derby? It’s $ 25 for the Day . But , if you have Fan
Duel it will be $20 .
It’s coming to that .
I didn’t even have the gambling sites on my radar, highly likely you are over the target.

My neighborhood in Queens wasn't wired for cable until 1990 so this is exactly how I watched the Redmen growing up.

People think Paramount is a pain next season?

How about driving around looking for a bar that carried the Sweater game in 1985 on ESPN and then asking the bartender to let in your 10 yo (me) son...
When Ranger and Islander games moved from regular a TV to cable, Queens didn’t have cable and I lost interest. I do follow it somewhat but nowhere near the way I do know. When YES started, I lived in LI and Cablevision, who had a monopoly on LI, refused to carry it the first year. I found other things to do when few broadcast games but did not lose my love for baseball.

It all started way back in the Day . If you wanted to see Rocky Marciano fight against Archie Moore , you had to go to your local Movie Theater and pony up , $ 25 to see the fight .
More times than not , the Broadcast failed in many Theaters and fans would leave peacefully and disappointed .
NOT! They wanted to tear the Theater down and rip up the seats .
Burning stuff down wasn’t yet in vogue then, so just staging a mini Riot was good enough .

All this pay per view stuff still exists , except it’s now in our homes .
Throw stuff at the TV when it conks out?

Or , on Center Ice ? I rarely get the Ranger feed from MSG , it’s always the other team’s Broadcasters , instead of Sam Rosen .
We also get their Commercials . Like Molson Beer . It’s Canada’s Beer . Hockeys Beer , our Beer . Not the US Beer !

It’s entertaining for a while but , wears out soon .
I’m glad that I don’t get the French Feed when the Rangers play Montreal .

This pay per view will soon be our way of seeing our Johnnies . It’s the future .
