Big East Expansion

If pissing in the wind were a sport we would be national contenders every year.
We argue over water here
Yeah, at the end of the day we don't have a say in the matter. It's up to the commish and every school to vote them in or not.

Tired of these little kids playing basketball at halftime At CA. Let’s get a mattc/Section9 boxing match instead. Marillac vs Fordham96 at the home game after that

Me vs Dinkins for the marquette game ;)

OK,   you opened the door to a Uconn/Sheep joke:

A Uconn grad walks into his bedroom with a sheep under his arm and says, "Darling, this is the pig I have sex with when you have a headache."

His girlfriend is lying in bed and replies:

"I think you'll find that's a sheep, you idiot."

The man says, "I think you'll find I wasn't talking to you."

In our defense, countless wars will be waged over water in the coming years.

The first of such wars will be between northern and southern California.

They are one of the original nine teams (yes I know Villanova didn't join until 1980 and Pittsburgh until 1982). I'm a traditionalist in that sense.

Boston College, Syracuse and Pitt can continue to rot in the ACC.
So, original 7 schools like cuse and bc can "continue to rot,", while pukon can come back? What's traditionalist about that? Seems like you've set your own guide lines to suit your biased view.
Chill out.

I'd love to have all of the original schools back in the mix, but UCONN is the only possibility while Syracuse, BC and Pitt are not leaving the ACC. That's why I'm in favor of UCONN - because there's actually a chance it can happen. The other schools can rot like I said because there's not chance they're going anywhere.
Chill out? I questioned why you wanted certain schools to "rot". Now you've waffled by saying that they would never leave the acc. You didn't say that in your original post, which sounded like you were in favor of pukon and not other core 7 schools. It would be nice if you were clearer in your first post.B) And by the way, screw pukon.
I said chill out because of the way you came at me and for some reason felt the need to call my viewpoint "biased".

Let me write this as clearly as I can, so even you can understand the point I am trying to make.

In a perfect world, all of the original Big East schools would be reunited in the conference. As a traditionalist, that would make me very happy. I view UCONN, Pitt, Syracuse and B.C as equals. BUT, the possibility only exists for one of them to re-enter the conference - UCONN. The other three are never leaving the ACC. Since that is the case, I would welcome UCONN with open arms if all parties involved can make it happen. Since the other three schools cannot under any circumstances get back into the Big East, they can, as I said in my original post, rot in the ACC.

I hope this explanation is sufficient.
The way I came at you? You've told me to chill out and next wrote a post that "even I can understand"? I questioned your original post and you backtracked in your response so I questioned you again. Stop with the condescending remarks.
Go back and reread. You came at me first my friend. I usually skip over your posts but saw that you quoted my comment to point out my "biased views". It was an unnecessary remark. Don't claim the victim card when you instigated, and don't start in with a poster to begin with if you can't handle the blowback.

Ok you got me with the victim card, plus I'm glad to know I'm your friend. But friends don't skip over friends posts.

Relax my brothers! Remember Mike Zaun.

A special extra round of the boxing match... Redmen. Com posters vs proper use of the quote function.. should be a doozy

Nah, gotta go old school, and go bare-knuckle. Even better, UFC with no rules in the 90s.
Everything old school was just better, sorry young backs.

Is there any way to easily conduct a poll of posters as to which school(s) should be admitted?
Look who is trying to be the voice of reason. Some of you are just cartoon characters.
Maybe we are but Mike Zaun never called fellow fans as many names as you seem to have a knack for doing. I find it ironic that it is usually the so-called true fans that try and get away with name calling. I have yet to read a substantive post by you since you became a member. Your contribution here is calling others names. Discuss the team, the games, the coaching, the recruiting but stop discussing fans you know squat shit about.

I agree that personal attacks on fellow posters are out of bounds. If you disagree with a post you can rebut it. If you find yourself always disagreeing with a poster and it upsets you, you can always choose not to read posts from that person.

I have a feeling that if there was a poll on who should be demoted Al or Mike Z, I think the outcome by posters would cast a different result than what happened.
