No doubt about it. And his kids would run through a brick wall for him.

The tournament has been tremendous. With SJU , Geo and DePaul making moves up the balance of the league cannot be equaled. What may be 13 tournament bids in two years is great.
No need to add any teams.

Cooley punched his ticket as a Premier Coach some time ago . This win tonight shows why a 4 year Senior laden team is what it takes to win tough games in the BE . Very satisfying also to see the Mouseketeers on the way home to Cincinnati . Down the stretch , there were some flagrant fouls on the punky Xavier’s . Mack let lose with a F bomb to the official as time expired . No class .

Interesting stat. Providence made the finals 3 times and has won each time

The problem is not expressing different opinions it is the way that some posters do it in such a demeaning and uncivil manner using foul language etc as if their opion is the only one that matters and is incontrovertible. They should calm down and grow up or start their own blog and stop bringing this forum down to thir low level.

Am I missing something? If there'll be the same 10 teams in two years, then how will there be 13 tournament bids?

He's 64-62 in big east games. Never could win a MAAC tournament. He's had good starting players transfer out. But he does seem to be a great guy to be around when he wins.
Since this thread was supposed to be about the Xavier game, if you gentleman want to continue to go at each other, why not open a new thread and title it something like "Your Momma."
To put that 64-62 record over seven years in perspective, let's look at the seven years prior to Cooley taking over the program. Together, Tim Welsh (23-43) and Keno Davis (18-36) went 41-79 in the Big East, with zero NCAA appearances. After tonight's win, Cooley's Friars are on their way to their fifth NCAA tournament. Pretty good, I'd say.

Note: Kyron Cartwright is a 5'11", 4 year senior who had just a 3-star rating coming out of high school.

Maybe part of our problem is that Matt sees a 5'11'' player as a big.
