May not have been pretty but I could care less. We got a win and we got a win because of great contributions by Williams who everyone had written off early in the season and Ellison who is begged to transfer after every other game by 3/4 s of this board. Marcus had another bad game. Who the hell knows what ails him but we need much more from him and he is capable of much more. If he could get his act together we would be a much better team. In any event we are 1 win away from where I thought we would be but I thought we would have a much better out of conference record and a poorer Big East record. Glad we ended up with the better Big East record. Best of luck tomorrow against Nova.

Seven conference wins. First BET win in many years.

Happy to call this season a success. I like the direction the program is headed. Loved seeing Mullin all fired up trying to get his players all fired up. Old school BE b-ball!

Already looking forward to next season. But not just yet...we do have at least one more game to play.

They missed a lot of things...Gus was a bit more annoying than usual. If not for Raf, Gus would have missed the shove of Amar after G-Town basically surrounded him. How was there no T in that??

At 5:27 pm, I was on stubhub about to buy a ticket when my game companion took to long to respond and I wouldn't have made my train. I wasn't too upset because at the BET I am kind of superstitious that I get all worked up and am a bad luck charm - haven't seen a BET win in years live but have seen plenty of BET and NCAA losses live.

I went home instead and felt the chances for a win were better without me there.

This could be a real defining moment for the Mullin era - rough tough BE basketball and Mullin stood up to the Gtown bench kind of in the way Kevin Williams stood up to Ewing so long ago.

Too much pressure to feel like an exhilarating win. As a fan, I feel like I just went 15 rounds and they raised my arm, but I was too beat up to really enjoy it.

Lots of very good performances. Lots for our guys to be proud of, even it the season may end tomorrow.

If Malik can learn to play consistently like he did tonight-smart and hard-we will have a very good player for the next 2 years. He and Williams were huge tonight.
 
Great and emotional win. It is awesome to see that the rivalry and Big East Tournament still means something to us.

Now, I thought we needed a win here and I'll call it an effort vs Villanova. I don't expect a win against a top team like Nova but a little effort and fire like tonight will be just fine. I think with a good effort tomorrow we go into the offseason being remembered as a program with a little momentum for the first time in a very long time.

By the way, LOVED Coach showing some passion tonight. I think this side of him will help recruiting. He had his guys back.

Also, I left out I cleared the schedule and will be at the Garden tomorrow. Hey, we haven't had to many of these days! Hopefully, I am not alone.

Loved Mullin tonight but that technical could have costed us!! Not sure what was said between the coaches or what started it but i think that Hayes should have also been called for a technical. I also like how Mullin doesn't really get angry at his players and just lets them played relaxed and also with fouls.

Don't write this team off tomorrow, this is college ball not NBA, any team can get beaten any given night by ANYONE.

All in all this season was a success and step in right direction moving forward, I have no doubt that we will be ranked in 2-3 years.
