IF Seton Hall wins this is the same exact afternoon session as last year.

I will tell you one think it was completely embarassing in regards to the lack of St. John's fans at the game. I hope that changes this year with this team a lock for the NCAA.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend. But one of my sons and his wife will be there; both Redmen fans. And my younger son will try to fly up from Dallas for the game. Another huge St. John's fan. They'll more than make up for my absence.

I'm in the same boat as you unfortunately. Can't miss work on Thursday. But if all goes well, I'll certainly be there Friday night.

Thanks, Desco. Appreciate your comments. I tried being a good father when raising my sons and I'm not sure if I did them right by turning them into St. John's fans! ;)

I agree with you that we need the support and I do expect that we'll get it off the season we've had. I'm going with 10 other St. John's fans and really looking forward to it.

Students can not be expected to pay these astronomical prices, not to mention that they should be in class on a thursday afternoon.

The tournament is played at the Garden at these times for the NY alumni. That should give SJU an advantage but hasn't been the case most years. Long way of saying, this one's on us folks. Get to the game(s)!

It takes a very big commitment in time to buy BET tickets since you have to buy the whole tourney. It's more than just supporting your team. It's expensive and time consuming and actually better suited for someone travelling to NY than someone looking to duck work for a few hours to watch your favorite team.
 
I bought two tickets for the afternoon session, $100 total, including fees. 200 level, fourth row. It is not true that a SJU fan has to buy the entire tourney.

I am in town this week from LA for work. Playing hooky Thursday afternoon with my brother and his friend to root on the Johnnies. Can't wait!!!

Thanks for that info. The order form I get from SJU I thought only allowed buying the entire tourney.
 
any word on Jamal's status for this game?

Haven't seen any official announcements, hopefully we know soon. Obekpa is definitely playing, was well enough to play against nova, and Jamal I hope can play. His status is the only one id worry about.

torn about pushing him to return too soon. the DJ injury vs Cuse ruined our chances that year (although the committee screwed us too with that matchup).
 
Indeed, the Zags were better than their seed. I'd love to knock them out of the tourney this year but doubt we will be in their bracket.
