The master of stirring the pot at work.

The NY Post continues to be nothing more than a last ditch resort replacement for toilet paper.  Slightly OT but also the majority of media members for that matter and their entitlement is baffling.

It will be interesting to see if the University will offer any type of package to get fans to attend since the game will presumably be a "road game" & not part of the season ticket plan, or will they just let us rely on stubhub , etc to get tickets on our own.

All depends how cooperative St. Francis is. I mean they can't expect to get more than what? 4k on their own?

 And here is our answer-

More details emerge-

St. John’s will take on the Terriers as part of a tripleheader, which will also feature Michigan vs. West Virginia and Fordham vs. Princeton.

Good point but I am betting that St. Francis will promote and hype this game & then some. Not sure how many schools from a power conference will agree to come play them at home, new arena or not. This may end up being the one game the administration really targets so they can have that feather in the cap win if they pull out a victory.

How much do you want to bet we are the first game LOL

My guess is going to be Fordham first- Michigan 2nd and us 3rd actually.

I hope so, we should not be relegated to an opening game in our own City.

St. Francis is the home tenant. Pretty sure the other games were already announced. Def the Michigan game. Sandwich the locals on the front and back end with the 2 big out of town teams in the middle. Steady crowd for the games IMO.

Very good point. That makes perfect sense, lets hope the ADs at both schools recognize this & somehow made this part of the agreement.

This was our home game, so we had all the leverage.

I think STJ-St. Francis will draw over 10,000 alone. I can't see WV-Michigan drawing too much more, but this triple-header could be close to a sellout. It will be Jamal Branch's first game too I think.

I still think it's inexcusable STJ v. SF/LIU Broklyn is not the first college game at Barclays.

The way I read Leonard's article it seemed like a road game. Its one less game at Carnesseca if its a home game.

boy...that robbins gives the school and the league a real hatchet job. what's with that?

msg hosts acc tournament? jeez...

SJU played SFU at Carnesecca last year so I believe this is SFU's home game this year.

I see some consternation over this by some and I don't understand it.

STJ never gave StF a "Home and Home" contract. Why would they. Did Gtown ever visit St Leo's? Does Syracuse ever visit Colgate? Lenn's a dope to think they should. I can see why playing them at Barclay's as the road team is a nice gesture for the building's first season. It's not like the building's gonna fill up with StF fans, ever.

Thats why I can't see it being our home game. We've had doubleheaders before but triple headers? And usually its a crappy local taking up the back end not big time schools like Mich and WVU.

Someone needs to remind Mr. Robbins that we have alternated home games with Fordham for years, including 2 seasons ago.
