(Baha Mar Hoops) #13 Baylor, Thu., Nov. 21, 7p, CBSSN

Tremendous early test, but expectations and dreams of winning this kind of game doesn't feel so pie in the sky as it did a month or two ago. Great win today, first big test and they passed it. Momentum and confidence heading into a game like this is all you can ask for.

Why not us? Lets go Johhnies.

See you guys there! Can't wait!

This will feel like an away game for us. not only does Baylor travel well but this will also be homecoming for VJ. Expect lots of local friends and family there for him.

PS: he leads team in minutes

VJ shooting 15% from 3 on 4.3 attempts. Let’s give him some room.

They are a small team. This might be the only major opponent we play where Zuby is the bigger 5. The next few days, he needs to be eating, sleeping, and breathing boxing Omier out.

We need to absolutely break their backs on the offensive glass. They are shorter and lighter than us.

i'm shocked VJ got so much NIL and can't even shoot the 3. crazy.

Our length 2-4 is ridiculous. Our speed at pg is ridiculous. Rick can take this talent a long way. Just going to have to figure out the bench roles and who can play the 5 if zuby gets in foul trouble.

We can win the baha tourney is we play smart and under control like we did most of today.

See u Thursday!!!
Prey continuing to develop may take care of the Zuby issue.

definitely. he's logging 30 min/game. solid rebounding numbers.

it'll be interesting on who guards him - deivon, rj, ?

Baylor is also only playing 7 games since they're missing a rotation player. I expect both teams to go all out in this one.

I like the idea of:
Zuby vs. Omier
Scott vs. Nunn
RJ vs. Roach
Kadary vs. Ojianwuna
Edgecombe vs. Smith

Edgecombe is listed at 180lbs. He's a tantalizing NBA prospect for a lot of reasons, but I think Smith/Wilcher should be able to stick with him due to his lack of strength. Having Kadary on their center could allow him to roam a bit as a "free safety" out there, trying to pick off some passes and/or swipe for balls. It's a little risky.

RJ and Scott being reliable defenders would really make our ceiling really really high.

We have a significant height advantage on them collectively, hopefully the depth chart is opened back up to drive that home even more. Key advantage would be getting Omier into early foul trouble, they would be scrambling the entire time he is out.

If Omier gets minutes at the 4, and I’m not sure if he is, there could be some interesting matchups. Might have to see the 2 big lineup if that’s the case. Zuby on Omier will be a challenge as it is. Kadary certainly a great option to put on a big but not sure we want him guarding a 6’10 5 to start the game with potential of early fouls.
