Don't know if anyone suggested Stockton as an assistant coach. Had great things to say about his ex teammate on the Dream Team. I understand he was an assistant coach for his daughters Gonzaga Prep High School team. Could you just imagine Mullin and Stockton. What a draw they would be to St. Johns.

John Stockton is a Gonzaga legend, and having visited there, is a local celebrity. He has one pretty huge house not far from Gonzaga and another vacation place in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (the local resort area. I don't think he's NYC material. If anything, if ever, he'd show up on Mark Few's staff before moving east.
 
Fwiw, if Slice is not out recruiting for UK tonight with a blue and white sweatshirt, I think it's probably safe to say it's a done deal. Likely just waiting for ink to dry and contractual stuff.

I think the rumors picked up again this morning when Calipari was spotted recruiting and Slice wasn't out with him. You gotta think that the lead recruiter for every team is busy this weekend and him not being seen is telling.

Pretty sure it's happened to us before. I remember Alex Evans(?) quickly taking some NCAA certification test so he could get out on the road for us.

I know there was a blowout with Otis. May have split after that.
