So, Kentucky finishes unbeaten and wins it all
Cal decides he's bored at Kentucky and gets an NBA job
Slice sees Cal leave and decides to come to SJU
Briscoe gets out of LOI with the coaching change and joins Slice
Diallo figures everybody recruiting him is at SJU so he comes as well
Sampson says to himself, how can I not join this party, so he commits
Jordan and Obekpa see all this happening and decide to stay another year
And then I woke up from my nap

I'm not even bs'ing here, but I swore I seen Slice yesterday in maspeth by Rosa's pizze waiting for a bus. I was tempted to go up to him, but was saying that it's not him. I mean uk has a game in indi in a day. Just click that article with his pic, and I swear if it wasn't him, then it;'s his twin.
Again, it probably wasn't him but then again, I wouldn't doubt anything.

oh and not that this means anything but he had a suit on.

I swore I saw Chris Mullin coming out of Hollywood Tans in Forest HIlls. He looked eerily orange. Must be part of his comp package.

Like I said I know it probabbly wasn't him but damn he resembled Slice alot.

Really don't give a crap if you believe or not.
Just wanted to put it out there.
 
If it appears that Mullin and Matt are having a hard time to sway Diallo and or Yakwe, maybe we can hire Jimmy Dolan as another assistant coach to close the deal on both of them?...they are both from Africa and he was able to land Saleh from Africa and he went to great lengths to get him :cheer:

What make you say they are having a hard time. Right now we are in the Dead Period, so starting Wednesday through next Wednesday at Noon, they can only communicate with him once. They can however speak to his coaches. Visits are prohibited until next Wednesday at noon at which time Chris and Matt have an appointment with Sampson.

Help me get excited about Slice. I think I may have the wrong idea about this guy, based on his affiliation with Calipari.

I have always thought of him as potentially cheating the system to land these unbelieveable Kentucky classes. I also remember not being impressed with him while he was at Manhattan College.

I can accept that I have the wrong idea about him. Sell me.......

Did well as AC at Pitt landing a lot of Ny/NJ kids. He has built relationships all over the country & has natty suits. :)

Is a tireless recruiter with great connections. As for those suits, they're more Nitti than natty.

As for UK's unbelievable classes, this is Slice's first year there. And Briscoe aside, Calipari and UK pretty much recruit themselves.

Clearly, Matt has gotten a silent verbal from Diallo, a silent decommit by Briscoe and has the Drexel kid stashed in Taffner.

Here's a out -of-the-box idea. How about adding Patrick Ewing to the staff instead of Ed P? Ewing is currently Associate head coach for the Bobcats. His experience might help lure Diallo.

Ugh no Ewing. Some dude called Mike F on Wfan and said Ewing should be HC.

I'm having issues with Pinkney but can tolerate him if Mullin hires him.

Ewing can go back to Georgetown if he wants a college assistants position. There are some ex players who's names would be a huge shadow over a program they did not play for like Ewing coaching at SJU.

Agree.... Those things were said about Ewing when he was in college. It was only said for racial reasons. I have a feeling Paultz took it the same way, as he's probably well aware of what Ewing had to go through when he was in college.
