Assistant Coaches Arrested /Book Richardson is One

So I guess being out of Nas Little's top 5 wasn't such a bad thing?

good thing we didn't have an extra $150k laying around.

with the mom was yelling that "we need our f-ing money" I can see this as a movie some day. Happy ending is the scene I mentioned before with the two douches in the cell...

Is it safe to assume that if Nike and UA were involved, the results of those investigations would have been revealed at the same time as Adidas?

Not really, what may happen is that a coach, agent, or financial planner may involve Nike or UA in an effort to cut a deal with the FBI. This is just the tip of the Iceberg.

I agree. And if Nike is involved, they may as well start tearing down the University of Oregon now.

So who would have thought having money tied up in Slice's contract was a good thing.

Rumor was out there that Heron's father was asking for 100,000 up front and 4,000 a month for as long as he was in college. Bruce Pearl is the biggest hypocrite.

Will be interesting to see if NCAA declares the players involved immediately ineligible.

Thanks Panther :)
of course rumors are rumors and we need to see how this shakes out
But good for us!!!
WE are apparently clean.
WE are St. Johns

The blind NCAA enforcement Committee will attempt to spin and minimize these arrrests.

UArizona and Louisville will likely receive a letter warnings.

What should occur are 2 year SMU style death penalties.

I'm shocked but so glad that only 5 schools appear to be involved in this type of nefarious undertaking. Imagine the damage to the game if there were more.

I would expect this to just be the start of something bigger. These coaches and managers/advisors are going to drop names of many others involved to try and help their case.

Also, hopefully they come down the hardest on UofL and Pitino. How many times can he get caught breaking the rules without being punished?

Looks like the crooked NCAA will be very, very busy. If their investigation into Carolina's scandal is any indication they should take at least five years to get involved.

Agree. Apparently Feds established a hot line which I guess will yield more items of interest. Quite a mess!

Suspect there are a lot of other coaches, beyond schools in question, very nervous today

You really think they are the only 5. Come on. They were the ones that got caught because some mutual fund guy that was facing Fed pressure himself gave them up to save his own hide.

This is just the tip of the iceberg in this sleazy industry.

Just throwing this out - should the kid involved in these types of scandals be suspended from playing in their first year?
Also I would want him to have to stay at least another year in college before being allowed to pursue the NBA.

UofO AKA The Nike Factory Outlet

Isn't it inconceivable that only one sneaker company was involved? Or that Nike and others did not know?
Seems probable, as some have indicated above, that more entities in the "sneaker world" will be brought in.

@michaeleaves
Based on texts I've received this FBI investigation into college basketball corruption could be HUGE. Much bigger than assistants implicated

@sethdavishoops
I'd caution fans of schools not involved in this from indulging in too much schadenfreude. Your school could very well be next.

Not that I agree with it but by NCAA rules yes but by NCAA practices it depends what school they go to.
