Watched the Xavier/Wisc game in spurts last night. Both teams executed really well for this early in the season. Xavier with 10 pt win but it was close all game. Top 3 teams in the Big East are monsters and I'm not at all convinced that Nova isn't the third best.

Xavier's Trevon Bluiett is 23-for-39 from the field & 13-for-24 from 3 through 3 games. 25.3 points & 7.7 rebounds a game. Ridiculous numbers.
 
Creighton picks up its second quality OOC win over UCLA last night. They have a chance for another top 25 win against Baylor tonight.

Creighton is playing well. Wonder about UCLA and Northwestern though. Northwestern took a terrible beating from Texas Tech. Baylor should be a great test.
 
Creighton up 9 on #22 Baylor. Jays on pace to beat three straight ranked opponents (first time ever). They are legit. Top 20 ranking next week. We're gonna have our work cut out for, come conference play.

Baylor played a very strong second half and won. The better the conference plays in non conference games the better for any NCAA chance we have. We should know a lot more where we stand Sunday night.
 
Baylor made the plays in the last couple of minutes. However Drew knew he was lucky as Creighton missed shots they normally make. Sometimes you need a little luck.
 
Not the Big East, but Chaminade is up 27 on Cal, late in the 2nd half. Shades of our game against STAC, but worse, because this one counts.

Cal went from up 18 against Wichita St. in the first round, to leaving Maui without a win.
 
Providence with a buzzer beater against Belmont. What an ending! Belmont had gone ahead with 3.5 seconds left.
 
I love reading the SHU message board after they lose. They are calling for Williard's head.
 
Xavier goes against ASU today. It will be good to see how they stack up against a strong BE team.

Seton Hall has 2 worrisome college basketball flaws:
They don’t have a true PG to run team, which, along with terrible free throw shooting, is not a good recipe for a team that has aspirations for NCAA Tournament run. Teams like that usually get bounced fast.

Unless they rectify each I will bet against them making any kind of run in NCAAs
