Around the Big East

I like Kris Dunn. I think he'll be a good NBA PG.

But what he did at the end vs SH was garbage going for a layup with under a minute to go instead of winding the clock down.

I've seen him do it before just trying to pad his stats and I don't like that kind of stuff.

And then he gets mad when IW fouls him. Total garbage.

As you know, class and talent don't always go hand in hand.

i was sorta shocked IW didn't punch him in the mouth. IW not only didn't commit a hard foul he also tried to hold him up.

IW showed character, good on him!

What a horrible year for this little basketball conference known as the Big East, left barren by the big dogs like Pitt, Syracuse, BC, Miami; all squads with NCAA bids locked up and making a serious charge for the national title...oh wait

Tyler Adams started for Georgetown on Senior Day today. As a freshman, he was told he could not play college ball due to a heart condition. He got the start today and got the first hoop for the Hoyas before being pulled from the game. Kudos to JT3 for doing right by him, as well as KW for having his team play "soft D" on the first possession (JT3 reciprocated).

Class!

I agree. I give both coaches and both teams credit for how that was done. Kid's dad had tears in his eyes in the stands.

I'm not going to go as far as awarding Whitehead character points, but frankly I was really impressed with Dunn up until that and then watching him today I'm no longer a fan.

Butler ahead of Providence by 16 early in the second half. They look like a tough out in the NCAA. Xavier better win at Creighton today or they could find themselves getting very close to the bubble with a tough matchup against a top 20 ranked Butler team.

Butler is blowing out Providence in the second half. Georgetown is also up big on Seton Hall in the second half. Looks like we're playing the Friars next Thursday in a 4-5 matchup.

Whitehead doing his selfish best to loose the game for the Hall shooting 1-7 so far and multiple turnovers.
Could not happen to a more deserving player and coach. Loose today and NIT is almost impossible for them. Screw the Hall and Willard.
To think that so many on this board vilified the Coach for not taking Tiny the slime ball and Whitehead.

Hard to beat a team three times, but I feel we are in Providence's head a little bit. We'll see.

We tend to play best against teams who shoot the 3 poorly because we have bad defensive rotations.

Providence is the worst team in the conference shooting from 3.

I hope we look at Providence as tough game, disregarding our 2 wins.

Xavier may have saved its season with a 1 point win over Creighton.

Yes, and it helped us a little too. That win should keep X in the top 50 in the RPI...a loss, may have moved them (and our two wins over them) out of the top 50. That win should help us with seeding. Same thing with Marquette winning and likely moving back into the top 150.

I have never seen a team drop off the way Seton Hall did this year. Watching them against St. John;s and Villanova, early this year, I would have never believed it. Can't hide from a blowout to Marquette either.
