I look at the preseason AP poll and see UConn 3, Creighton 15, and Marquette 18. (I could be off a bit but it was about that).

And I look at the rosters of those teams and say to myself that

UConn is way too high,

Creighton is way too low, and

I guess they think (as I do) that Kolek was a huge loss for Marquette and sure Ben Gold hasn't impressed me but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they wind up a Top 10 team given the talent and experience together on that roster.

But mostly I don't find a UConn team with Diarra, Samson, and a couple of freshmen terrifying and Karaban isn't gonna beat people by himself. I just see a lot of recency bias there.

As I said, I will probably live to regret typing all that but I'm gonna have to see it on the floor.

One outta three ain't bad if the one is "UConn is meh."

And I don't think my other two were awful, especially if Pop Isaacs hadn't gone down. Just hope Creighton doesn't make me right by beating us tomorrow. Love McDermott but that would suck.
 
After scorching us, Nova shot 5-19 from deep against Prov for 26%. Started out 1-12, effectively ending their chances.

Perkins who hit the shot to beat us played 30 minutes with no points.

Well let’s be fair.

Carino is a Jersey guy. His address is NJHoopsHaven. On one end of Jersey he has monumental failure Rutgers wasting two prime recruits under .500 and dead and buried in the Big Ten. On the other is Seton Hall living a nightmare season with no NIL money.

What exactly is the dude going to write about or report on. It’s like other than that Mrs. Lincoln how was the play. 🙄😖
