Villanova getting hosed on the ref very generously granting Creighton calling a timeout while falling out of bounds immediately followed by a 3 in the corner that somehow went in off glass

Absolutely heartbreaking loss for Nova. Between the TO call and the Ashworth three.

Yep I know but the Creighton dude didn’t really have complete control of the ball before falling out of bounds. Was borderline, I thought it was a little generous by the ref to grant that
I’ll say this…maybe the BE doesn’t have the best teams but some of these games have been wildly entertaining. The Conference is winning Saturday afternoon. That’s for sure.
No way Ashworth called glass. Shot was off and kiss off glass was pure luck.
That’s why it was a specialty of mine of course there is no way any shooter in the history of basketball is trying to bank in a deep corner shot.
But if Marquette wins its sets up even bigger game Tuesday night at MSG and would make a win even more noteworthy.
Win, win!
But with a Marquette loss tonight, we’ll have a chance to go up 2 games in the standings.
I also rather not have Marquette coming off a loss. I think we can beat them either way but I just rather have them off a win.
