Around the Big East

FWIW, Roach, Demery, and Joseph, all scored more than their average vs us.
Silas also had 10 turnovers (!!!!) against us. Bensley had five.

Ashworth had seven against Nebraska, six turnovers against KU, four against Nova/Alabama/Notre Dame. He averages 3, which he only didn't exceed against Texas A&M for HM opponents.

I'm mostly arguing more against MR for saying its ridiculous/homerism to say its an advantage we have, and just showing point totals. Just diving into the numbers more -- let alone the eye test (I've watched a few Creighton games) -- and he's not someone who should frighten us. I'd say Roach/Demery/Joseph are also far more athletic than him.

Limitations and all, I think he’s a guy who can beat you.

Ok well I will help you out: Ashworth is a short, limited, chucker who is a product of the system he plays in. Smith, while short, is still 3 inches taller than Ashworth and has actual basketball ability. Also insane athleticism. I'm not sure I can think of a coach - including McDermott - who would prefer Ashworth to Smith
It's not about height and athleticism. This is basketball, not soccer. Kid's terrific.

I stupidly took Nova ML yesterday (word of advice- don’t put real money anywhere near a Neptune coached team, although I’m sure I’m the only dope who didn’t know that yet)

I say that to say I was locked into that game yesterday and honestly Creighton is a pretty solid team still - at home at least, not sure what happened @Gtown.

Ashworth is good. He has weaknesses you can exploit but he is good especially in that system. I came away extremely impressed by Jamiya Neal, and they’re gonna need him to play at that level this year to have a shot at the dance. Kalkbrenner is still Kalkbrenner, how the hell is he still in college. A load to deal with but nova just doesn’t have the personnel to handle him.

I think Creighton has enough, despite injuries, to certainly hang around the bubble and perhaps get into the NCAAs. That win against Kansas in their back pocket will give them a shot if they can get to around 12-13 big east wins. Might be a tall task though

Height and athleticism is why we blew out Virginia the way we did. It matters a lot more in college basketball.
Tell Kadary about athleticism.Or all those Europeans coming over to the NBA. They're ''BASKETBALL" players. They play every day and are better because of it.

Neal looks like good shooter…but dribbles like he has a pot holder on his left hand…force him left all day
