Around the Big East

I keep on seeing bracketology with only 3 BE teams in. How is that possible when a month ago we had 5 or 6 teams in? And how is the Hall not considered in? I have no Hall love, but this is disrespectful to the Big East where only ranked teams are in.

Because Seton Hall's metrics are awful, because their OOC was as dismal as it possibly could have been. They had more work to do in the Big East conference than anybody because of the OOC. They are only on the bubble because they've done well in the league.

We could be one of 5 teams with 11 wins, with one who will get the #5 seed and bye in the conference tournament . In all likelihood, SH should get to 12 as they play DePaul, and not sure X can get 3 straight including over MQ to get to 11. So it will be very interesting next week of play to to see who gets the bye. IDK how the tiebreakers work, but it is nice to see us still in the hunt for a bye.

3 way tie (or more), those teams are considered a "mini-conference", and tie breakers are broken by record within the mini-conference.

Better if Nova wins at PC for Johnnies, but Fanta pointed out; The Friars are 50-5 in their last 55 games at Amica Mutual Pavilion. That’s a top-3 home-court advantage in the country.

I’m not saying this to belittle us, but it’s incredible how the metrics/bracketology/resume is pretty accurate in having us on par with Villanova and Providence from an eye test perspective.

Losing 8 of 10 before we beat CU is the hole we dug. Creighton was a very nice win & beating Butler away was good. That does not eliminate that bad run obviously and only means we have more work to do. I think we are being treated fairly by most prognosticators.
