Around the Big East

Providence looks awful vs seton hall. Looks like he hurt his knee. He was yelling on the floor. Terrible to watch

He hyperextended his left knee. Looked very serious. Carried off the court with his family waiting for him in the tunnel. Awful to see.

You have to be careful w/ seton hall. They dont have great players, but Holloway is an excellent coach.

Tough break for hopkins. That really hurts providence and we may catch a break next week.

Rock fight special in Providence. Game in the 40s under 7 min left. Wusu bowling people over. Hopefully Hopkins injury is not serious.

Yea, I’m not saying Holloway is an excellent coach yet. He had a nice run with SPU. But overall in the MAAC he wasn’t that good. Look at his results. Jury still very much out.

But the Hall has a couple of guards and wings who can catch fire in the right game and beat you.

Hopkins going down changes that game completely because Providence doesn’t have a chance to game plan without him, and he does so much for them. That was the real difference IMO.

Not a fan of “Throw You Under Bus” Miller, but he really can coach, short roster with key injuries, but really manages a game with the best of them. He deserved to win that one last night v Nova.

When we bitch about injuries, it happens everywhere, PC, Xavier, Nova & part of the game.

Bryce Hopkins will undergo medical testing Thursday to determine the severity of his left knee injury.

I was also bucketshardy, but with the way this league is all we can do is just keep winning games. Can’t worry about this that or the other thing, just win baby!

After watching these Big East games, I think we are prepared to roll through some of these supposed power teams in the conference. We are at full strength with all our weapons at the disposal of Coach Pitino, and most of the other higher preseason ranked teams are dealing with major injuries and losses of players. No Fremantle at Xavier, no Clingan at UConn, Moore might be out for Nova, Hopkins out at PC. Now is the time to jump these teams, move into the top 3 and get ranked! I am not overly impressed by any of the other programs so far, with the exception of Marquette and Pukon. These other teams will probably improve when they get back to full strength, but let’s get them now when they are undermanned!
