Around the Big East

UConn prevails over “Barbecue Bruce” & Auburn. Tyler Polley of UConn really can shoot and made ton of key ones today. Sanogo a load obviously.
Have to make Polley put the ball on the floor.  Absolutely can not let him catch and shoot.

End of the game a UConn player was in front of the bench and they were attending to him.  Announcers didn’t notice it but the camera and directors did as they focused in on the scene.  Hurley appeared not to notice at first and we to shake Pearl’s hand and only then realized something was up.  Teammates were standing near the player. Hopefully t was nothin serious and maybe exhaustion from a great game.

I know ultimately it's in our best interest to have every team in the Big East win out of conference games, including UConn and Seton Hall. But man, I find it hard rooting for either of those teams to win!

I do to Room112, if we had a strong OOC schedule ourselves then it wouldn’t matter as long as we took care of our own business. But because our schedule is so weak we have to have these other teams win games and pump up the profile of the conference so this way it gives us more of a chance to strengthen our resume with wins in conference.

Watching Yukon vs. Mich. St.
Yukon looks like they are ready for conference play.

Look at that Atlantis field.  I don't think there is a bad team in that field.  Even if u lose early the type of games you get in the 3rd and 5th place games are actually terrific.

Reason number 10000 why SJU has to get in a exempt early tourney next year.

UConn closing out VCU and their staple as usual was defense (Auburn exception), which got them through OT

Xavier with a nice 1 point win over Virginia Tech.

DePaul also won earlier over Northern Kentucky and they are now 5-0.
