You really should have just posted "blah, blah, blah", you would not have sounded so unintelligent on the subject .
LOL just trying to get a predictable rise out of you Logen
I would have to give some credence to your posts for you to get a rise out of me but I appreciate you throwing out the straight lines, it helps me get through the boredom of another day in the office..

UConn and American athletic conference agree to 17 million dollar early buyout.

UConn will will leave the league after the upcoming season. Big East re-entry set for the 20-21 season.

I still stay UConn should have to buy membership in the BE.

I'll take it a step further. If we signed anyone he would just complain about them not being highly ranked enough.
Wrong. I actually complain when we waste time on 5 stars heading to Kentucky. 50-150 should be our sweet spot.
Sure that’s exactly what u meant.lol

Mutual courtship whether one likes it or not.

Then it was stupidly negotiated.

What's ridiculous about it? Do tell.

Windy, I agree we haven't recruited well at all yet, but it's still very early with new admin. If our class of 2020 looks similar to this one then it will certainly be very concerning.

I'm not even saying we haven't recruited well yet. We did the best we could for 2019, totally get it and all good. 2020 to me is a different story - and again, at this point, there is nothing to critique - effort seems to be there in spades. But i honestly don't want to hear that there are no expectations for 2020 because other schools have built relationships with kids for years and all that nonsense. We have 4 extremely capable coaches out recruiting and, while dealt a more challenging hand with the shorter runway, have sufficient time to sell kids on vision and program. While perhaps unfair, again, this is a RESULTS business, the time is now. Figure out a way to land kids for 2020 that will move the needle.

I don't like it but your statement about it being a "mutual courtship" is 100% accurate.

It’s the summer. Most recruits are landed in the fall and spring. You need to be a bit more patient.

I'm actually really looking forward to watching McGriff & Champagnie this season. Having a couple of true freshman to watch and evaluate makes the season more interesting for me. Although I wish I'd gotten to see a bit more of them, I really enjoyed watching WIlliams & Roberts last season and hopefully with Anderson's system we'll get to see these freshman get more burn than they would have under Mullin.

Also while I completely agree that McGriff and Champagnie aren't the level of recruit we want headlining our recruiting classes moving forward, they're skilled, high major recruits who we may be taking for granted. These guys had offers from Cincinnati, Kansas State, Minnesota, Pitt, Hall, VCU, etc. They have high major talent and a real chance to contribute. I feel like St John's fans often talk about how important it is to fill out classes with solid 3 star/low 4 star talent. Well these guys fit that bill. Let's see how they do. If the staff can't bag a couple of Top 100 type talents in 2020 I'll also be disappointed but I'm satisfied with who they've pulled in so far and the work they're putting into future classes.

Per Jerry Carino
Seton Hall great Andre Barrett has been hired as the NBA's Youth Basketball Development Program Manager. This is a big gig and a super guy for it. I'll be checking in with Dre later this week so stay tuned for details.

From Holy Land:

Terrance Williams announcing tonight at 7 and the crystal ball has Hoyas at 90%

He's ranked #82 for 2020. Georgetown would join Xavier, Marquette, Seton Hall and Butler as Big East teams with 2020 top 150 commits.

Very nice 2020 recruiting coup for Ewing & the Big East beating out Michigan (Big 10) and Notre Dame (ACC) for #82 ranked Williams.

Ewing embraced recruiting from day one and put a solid staff together. Seeing dividends, not rocket science.

John Fanta
Terrance Williams is the fourth 4-star recruit reeled in by Patrick Ewing. Jamarko Pickett, James Akinjo and Josh LeBlanc are the others. While Mac McClung was just a 3-star, the production of the 6-foot-2 guard was beyond that in his freshman year.

What's ridiculous about it? Do tell.
Are u really this clueless? He just put his FULL staff together about a month ago. Not to mention all the bad publicity from firing Mullin(they let him “resign” to save face) & a coaching search conducted by two morons who know nothing about basketball - Oliva & Genpeshaw. Thank God they took the AD’s word about Anderson or that clown from Yale would be our coach right now. U sound like a complete fool with your “ridiculous” comments. Got it now genius.

So we should have no expectations for 2020 recruiting because we almost hired the guy from Yale?

That doesn't make any sense to me, though as you note I am a "clueless", "complete fool" "genius".
