This was Willard's best job IMO by far in his 9 years. I think he was a disappointment the last two years with all of the good juniors/seniors they had plus Powell (8/9 game both years, winning 1). To an extent Powell saved his bacon by going insane the last few weeks, but that's how it goes when you have a special player. As far as them being better than us this year, let's remember we beat them twice, and even with the nonsense W the first game, we led for 39 minutes and beat them convincingly the second time.
Nova's on another level than everybody else, it goes without saying.

Missed the Nova - Hall game. Got back from NYC just in time to go to St. Patty's day dinner dance at our church. Am home in tie to watch Duke game. Looking at BE box score though, it looks like Powell came up big again for Hall. My BE player of the year, maybe not in stats, but when crunch time comes, I'll take him every time.
Rooting like hell for Johnnies to make the dance, but I am very much afraid the optics of that Marquette blowout will hurt them big time if it's a close call.
Hope I'm wrong; we'll see.

The first few shots in the promos almost always involve Ewing and Mullin as players. Just shows you how ecstatic the conference would be if we and Gtown could have a consistent stretch of solid performance.

I'll give you better coaches but not better talent, just look at Nova's bench. Our starting five can match the Wildcats lineup .I'll give them Booth over Ponds and Paschall over Heron but certainly Simon, Clark and Figueroa can match up with the rest of the starting five.

5 Big East teams made the NIT. Depaul is the only Big East team who's season has come to an end.
I'll post the daily schedules of Big East teams (minus St. John's, because we know that one), along with times and TV, just like in the regular season. I'm going to do it for both the NCAA and NIT games.
