Around the Big East 18/19

on the offensive end, 18 total today.
He hasn't played particularly well against us, FWIW. Certainly not in the MSG game. I'd have to check the boxscore of the first matchup.
14 and 8 first game
8 and 8 last game

Better then I thought. I just recall some really bad plays from him in the MSG. Blew three easy layups, at least.

Recently it appears Vill and Marq have slipped a little which makes this year's big east maybe the most balanced of the major conferences in history.

Only a sophomore, getting better and probable four year guy. I’d take him.

I was hoping Marquette would jump on Georgetown early. Didn't happen. Looks like we're going to have to sweat this one out.

I was thinking the same. It's a see-saw battle. Hopefully, Marquette can deliver the knockout punch in the second half. Too close for comfort right now.

Huge trey at the buzzer by one of the Hauser brothers. At least Marquette goes into the half with some momentum. 39-37, Marquette.

I know everyone likes to talk about the Whitehead-Tiny fiasco. But, bottom line, Willard is better than any coach we have had in the last 20 years.
As they dance for fourth year in a row, you really do have to acknowledge KW has built what appears to be a successful, sustainable program. Cooley has also done likewise despite PC struggling this year. Dancing five years in a row is evidence of that.
I know there's some debate here about it, but I'm in the "Willard is a good coach" column. But I also know that it's a harder place to recruit to than here. I think if Mitch does move on and his replacement is handy with the whiteboard as well as charming on the recruiting trail, I think we could start to see some distance between us and the Hall in the next couple years.

Howard's been awful again offensively. Marquette killing them on the offensive boards or Georgetown would have a decent lead.

Watch out for this kid Brendan Bailey (believe he's Thurl Bailey's son) next year for Marquette. 6'8" Freshman wing who is just starting to come into his own last few games.

Correct, he is Thurl Bailey's son.

Good call

Howard 6-20 from the floor. He's missed several that could have opened up some daylight. Now Gtown has it down to 2

Usually depending on freshmen guards so much hits the wall as season wears on. Not this duo, Akinjo and McClung impressive.
