Last Night Action:
Greg Williams, Jr. (Louisiana) - 18 pts.; 4 reb; 7 ast
Josh Roberts (Manhattan) - 6 pts.; 2 reb; 1 ast
Isaih Moore (Southern Miss) - 19 pts.; 7 reb; 1 ast
Marcellus Earlington (San Diego) - 10 pts.; 5 reb
Rasheem Dunn (Robert Morris) - 7 pts.; 2 ast
David Caraher (High Point) - DNP

Watched Robert Morris game a bit….Rasheem had a tough night….didn’t seem as locked in on defense as he was for SJ

Josh Roberts starts but wasn’t in much down stretch….with that said, he did look engaged and happy…team went into stands after beating Fordham

From what I have seen so far of our transfers in,  the loss of some quality players doesn't seem very significant anymore.

Watched #1 Gonzaga easily beat # 5 Texas

Timme had 37 points at will...was 15-19 from field and one of the misses was a 3 pt attempt.  Announcer described his inside game best as a current Kevin McHale type.

Yes, staff upgraded all the way around.  If you look at it by who replaced who in the rotation.

Soriano replaced Roberts - Soriano is light year's ahead of Roberts offensively.  Probably about equal defensively right now.  Soriano's size and ability to score in the post makes him invaluable.

Smith replaced Dunn - Smith is a better shooter, decision maker, and defender. Dunn is probably better at attacking the rim.  Smith just fits better alongside Posh than Dunn did, although Dunn had his moments

Wheeler replaced Moore- I think Wheeler gives everything Moore gave offensively with less drama, better shot selection, and way better defense.  Wheeler is legit guarding 1-5 out there full court.

Coburn replaced Cole -  Coburn better in every single aspect of the game, was a huge late addition pick-up.  You could argue he's the 3rd best player on the team right now.

Mathis replaced Williams -  Probably a balanced trade here.  Mathis slightly better defensively and Williams much better shooter.  Both are equal in their athletic ability.  Will Mathis defense end up being a better fit than Williams ability to stretch the floor, this is probably something we won't know until later in the season.

100% agree.
This team clearly has more talent (and less drama) than last year's team

Former Johnnie Jonathan McGriff had 15 points and 6 rebounds in a Binghamton win over Sacred Heart.

Tough night for the Big 10. Aside from losing 2 to the BE, penn state lost by 20 at UMASS.

Loyola Chicago is leaving the Missouri Valley Conference and joining the Atlantic 10 for the 2022-23 academic year.

Smart move mutually

Wow, what a surprise! Wondering what our Chicago posters have to say.

I'm not an advocate of throwing anyone out of any conference, but I just want to say that I think Loyola Chicago would do more with a Big East spot than DePaul has ever been able to do.

Banchero is playing tonight. He wasn’t driving and he wasn’t drunk. He was charged with aiding and abetting a drunk driver. Basically, he was charged with letting the guy drive when he knew he was drunk. Coach K’s grandson was the one drinking apparently.

David Caraher made his debut at High Point vs. Notre Dame

9 minutes....0-5 (0-2 from 3P), 2 reb
looks like his stat line wasn't a high point

As a fan and follower of Loyola Chicago as well, most fans are pleasantly surprised and happy.  As for the future of each conference, I think the Missouri Valley should try to keep a Chicago presence, and UIC could/should fit nicely.

As for the A10, I think it makes some sense for it to lose a team to even out at 14, and for the Big East to take that team for an even 12.  I have always thought Dayton and perhaps St. Louis would fit nicely in the BE.  Or better yet take both, and lose UConn.

Interesting news on Loyola of Chicago joining A10. Coincidentally (or not) they are playing future A10 rival Davidson at Davidson a few days before Christmas. First time I've seen them on Davidson's schedule in the 10 plus years we've been here. Haven't purchased tickets yet but I'm planning on going.
