The Pitino tree is growing actually.
By recent I meant prior to Pitino. It would be great to have a top candidate from our own coaching tree which we really haven't had save John Kresse.

I got you. Just saying Willard is a Pitino disciple and his offspring is growing.
I don’t think anyone disagrees provided those retained could play and were reasonably good citizens (in a basketball, school sense). My opinion, but too many of the players not here checked neither box enough to be kept. Obviously, Shanley and co. agreed.
Easy and convenient to point at Pitino but I more than just believe last years roster was going to be blown up regardless of who the new coach was, and rightfully so.
However, I side with Monte regarding Stanley, have not heard anything negative regarding him on either count. I assume he wanted to go elsewhere to expand his role but don’t know at all.
