Around College Basketball 2019/20 Season

SIAP NCAA will delay until 2021 a vote on allowing one time immediate eligibility for transfers. Reason for delay is the virus pandemic.
 
Five-star prospect Daishen Nix has decommitted from UCLA and plans to sign in the NBA G League, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Do all the prep-to-pro kids get the $500,000 deal? Because if not, how do the kids risk making that jump without a healthy dose of NBA tampering?

Not everybody gets that deal, but the deals have definitely been enhance this year compared to years prior. All have been reported to be 6 figures topping out at the 500k.

It's not NBA tampering because it's not NBA teams or even NBA G League affiliated teams. It is a G league select team. Anything affiliated with the NBA would have to be collectively bargained with the players association.

Sources: Louisville Notice of Allegations contains one Level One allegation against the university, which is the most serious in nature. Rick Pitino, recently hired at Iona, faces a Level Two allegation. Notice should be released shortly.

Specifics: Level One allegation of impermissible benefits from two former coaches, plus people tied to Adidas; Level Two allegations against same two former coaches for impermissible transportation and contact; Level Two allegation that institution failed to monitor recruitment

And a Level Two against Pitino for failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance.

I love how the Iona fans are justifying hiring a cheater saying nothing to see here he will just get 5 games.
