Anderson and Demeo's Lawsuit updates?

As for punitive damages, I don't know how deep Anderson can go for reputational harm since it was his camp that put out the "for cause" letter to the public.

That's my armchair lawyer view on things.

I just had a close family member hire an employment lawyer because she thought her severance package was too low following her dismissal due to an abrupt "reorganization" that targeted her alone.

Can't go into more details, but a few weeks of negotiations and she accepted 3x the initial offer.
 
I don't think anyone except the parties involved give much of a damn about this, I know I sure as hell don't. I don't think this publicity, negative as it may be, will move the needle one iota on our future as a program or as a school.
 
In the end, I think they will settle. While we are only hearing Anderson’s side of the story, we can be certain Anderson is far from absolution. His tenure was a mess.

If a settlement is not reached, then everything gets released, including the reputation of the players. There are more people at stake than SJU and Anderson.

This brings me to Cragg. He better tiptoe through the offices and avoid his boss. He looks horrible.

Finally, please put a muzzle on Oliva. He will sound much more intelligent that way.

It will be settled at the 11M and yesterday’s news with some SJ lessons learned and some degree of accountability one would hope. Cragg and Oliva, if he made that competency remark, should at least be denied dining privileges at Marillac Hall 😇
 
ok in a way I understand the 11 mils he is owed, but punitive damages? It's saying I don't agree with you firing me so I want my salary plus A LOT EXTRA. I think Olivia was saying that Anderson wasn't putting the same amount of energy into the program then he did when he started. As i continue to dissect this..... How does Iron Mike justify with suspending players, benching players., and of course the lawsuit by his previous assistant coach against him? Usually, the one who screams the loudest is the guilty one. (usually lol). Plus more smoke from anderson.... his remarks about hiring Pitino with baggage is well irrelevant! Rick was cleared of charges from the FBI at Louisville PLUS it didn't happen here. So Anderson is swinging at whatever he can. Notice how SJU is not. Next up anderson's comments on grades.....He referenced his team's grades from 3 years ago lol. How does that apply to what he and his team are doing today? It's like telling your boss hey I did great 3 years ago so give me a break lol.
Honestly if you are getting fired you should get a majority of what is left in your contract (not all). Anderson just take your 40 minutes from hell and go away. This is making you look BAD iron mike If you wanted another job you should of "resigned" saving face taking probably 8 mil say and pray for another job. Now your pretty much not hireable and your coming with baggage. With lawsuits, the dirt gets revealed.
