Sealy was never going to play more than a few minutes the next two years, so I can't fault him for wanting to go somewhere else where he can play or at least compete for big minutes. He accomplished all he reasonably could at STJ already by appearing in a game. 6'8 walkons with experience can be valuable to a team, but that value is really limited to practice and preparation. It would have been nice to have a senior with three years of experience next season after we lose GG, Sanchez, and possibly Sampson up front. His presence would have helped streamline a lot of the processes for the new bigs. As a reminder, Norm Roberts cut a player who went on to become the D-3 JUCO player of the year at the same school Wichita State's leading scorer Cleanthony Early starred at last year.
Good luck Slim Sealy!
