Rob James went to Catawba in NC, Heath Orvis played out west in Colorado somewhere, Broadnax went back to a JC college in Fla, never heard of Donald Jones, Tyler-Jones went and played in Texas after leaving. He passed away at a young age a few years ago.

---------

Donald Jones came in the class with David Russell, Kevin Williams,George Garrison, Tim Cleuss and Trevor Jackson.  Was here for one year and didn't see a lot of minutes.
Donald Jones transferred to Towson.

Given that status of our program, historically guys left NYC, weren't happy and came home.    Then in our program's demise, not too many guys have left for a better situation for themselves.   Tariq Owens, and Roshown McLeod stand out.

I would add Cedric Jackson to that list, as he parlayed his stint at Cleveland State into a cup of coffee in the NBA.

Not exactly a transfer, but Mullin's mother had him committing to Duke and Coach K, but little Looie hijacked him back to St. John's, like a transfrer in.

We're really stretching the intent of the thread with this./media/kunena/emoticons/grin.png

I think Lou was on Mullin since he was 11 years old. That would have been the most catastrophic, psyche-damaging recruiting loss ever.

The story from a different era is that Vic Bubas, coach of Duke in the 60's, already had Art Heyman, and was about to land Barry Kramer as well as Jeff Mullin a year later, and Bill Bradley, the following year.  Heyman, Kramer, Mullin, Bradley, throw in a few bigs and a point guard who could dribble and breathe and UCLA might have had to wait for Big Lew to arrive for their first NC.

I think Marvin Clark was a very impactful recent transfer in.  Sparingly used at a quality program; and he has perhaps spawned a kansas city pipeline of recruits?

Interesting stat on Marvin Clark Jr...He is our program single season record holder on personal fouls.

Had 126 in his last season (112 in yr 1).
Rob Werdann was formerly #1 w/ 124 in his highest season
