It's Tanaka, he can beat Dallas, just match zeros with him.

Last 2 games for Tanaka: 15inning, 22Ks, 0runs.
He's catching his ace form at the perfect time, we'll need him to have his ace stuff tonight.

Yeah, I screwed that up like in the Subject.
ALCS not NLCS oh well.
 
If there's one good thing, it's that Dallas pitch count is at 86 through 5.
Gotta get his pitch count over 100 through 6.

He's at 97 through 6, he can go 110-115 pitches.

See Sanchez striking out? That's why you had to send Bird in the 5th.
 
If Hicks or Bird gets on, Girardi better pinch hit Headley for Matt.

That I think would chase Dallas.

I love Judge, but horrible execution on that last play. He has to come home with that ball, and come home hard. Correa means nothing at 2nd base. Got to stop Alltuve. Bad bad play by the big guy.
 
I respectfully disagree. Judge had no chance of getting the runner at home from deep right center. Clemente could not have thrown him out. The relay beat him by a mile. Sanchez needs to catch the throw and tag the runner.
 
Judge hit the cutoff man (but not any pitches), which was the right play. Altuve was meat, couldn’t believe it when we was called safe (lousy camera angle).

The idea was for Judge to come home and hit the cutoff man. Altuve was sent because Judge nonchalantly threw the ball to 2nd. Had Judge come home Altuve would have almost certainly been stopped.
 
I blame Judge and Sanchez. You gotta be thinking lead runner and potential game ending score but Sanchez needs to be catching that ball regardless. They had him dead to rights

Just watched the replay. Judge overthrew the cutoff man, Castro, who was on the outfield grass between first and 2nd. Had he hit Castro, as he should have, then I think Altuve would have been held up. Of course we'll never know for sure. FWIW Keith Hernandez said the exact same thing after the game was over.
