2nd Rutgers Game

5 point dogs.

We have done well as of late being the underdog. I have no problem with that.
We did a good job last time of controlling Mack and Carter- gotta be just as aggressive on the interior, Rutgers got a lot of putbacks towards the end of last game.

Should be a good one.

The winner will be in 4th place.
That's crazy.

Nothing would surprise me here, win or lose. For some reason I don't like this game. We played horribly at the Garden vs. Rutgers, but so did Rutgers. I wouldn't expect Rutgers to play as poorly again, so we'd better come to play.

If Rutgers wins and sweeps us then that takes away all the good feeling from the ND and DePaul games and I don`t care if it`s at the Rac. They won at MSG so lets win there.
With the recent success that they had against us, if they sweep us then you could say that they own us.

This is a must win and whatever SJU has to do they better get it done.

Next 3 games are against Rutgers, Seton Hall and DePaul at home. We need 2 of 3 , better yet 3 of 3 to go 6-3 in the conference..

After that it gets tough with Syracuse,L'ville, G'TOWN AGAIN AND ND in S. Bend.

We do have USF, Providence left too..

Kerry Miller of bleacher reports has us losong by more and saying if rutgers does sweep and we are both bubble teams we come up short

Who is Kerry Miller?

You may not know who he/she is now, but just wait, you will soon enough.
The way the person gleaned such extraordinary inside information, such as the idea of being swept by RU puts us behind them if both teams are on the bubble, is nothing short of brilliant, hard hitting, investigative sports journalism. Who would have ever thought such profoundity without immense intellect.

Kerry Miller will be a name to be reckoned with in the world of journalism. This person is just writing for an august publication like bleacher reports is only further proof. It's not as if this person is writing for some dopey internet site.

If we're going anywhere this season, we need to win the next three games IMHO
They are all winnable - we've got to win them and sneak in an upset or two along the way

If the players are thinking of any winning combination (i.e., win 2 of the next 3), they will lose on Wednesday. We as fans have that luxury ; ) They just better be focused on Rutgers.

In order to stop Carter and Mack we need to be in their jock strap to prevent 3's; that means man to man defense. I feel much better now that Branch is another scoring option. Hopefully, Obekpa starts the game; we're too small without him.

The team actually did a good job on those two the last game. The game really was lost on the free throw line. I would take a repeat defensive performance from SJU tomorrow and roll the dice again.

Guys there was similar talk after the Cincy win, and I'm all for getting excited about our potential, but we lost our next two- Rutgers and Georgetown. We are a young team, I think we are hitting a good stride, but a loss in ANY Big East game isn't out of the realm of possibilities.

Don't call me a downer lol, but every team in this league is tough and we aren't veteran/skilled enough (we have talent/potential) to go into any game assured of a win.

That said, Let's Go RedMen!

We owe Rutgers, big time. Plus, Rice makes me annoyed with his antics on the sidelines.

If we hit our FTs down the stretch we win that game in the Garden, I was there and P.O.d..

I know though that neither team played well, Rutgers can play much better than they did that night, but so can we.

Let's bring our "A" game, tune out their fans' noise and get a "W"!!
