You’re right, don’t let the facts and what every talking head who knows the game of basketball get in the way here. I’m guessing you missed Zach’s article and a host of others. It was not hard for anyone who knows the game of basketball to see that there were issues with the team regardless of the record to date. Key words,, “those who understand the game”

But of course you have to find an issue with whatever I post cause that’s what you do.😂😂
I didn't read Zach's article not do I care to read it. That's no offense to him. Just that I don't care to read it. Regardless, that's irrelevant.

I'll ask the questions again since you like sidestepping questions with irrelevant responses and bombastic. Who is the "many" and what if those "many" happen to be right that this was a bad game/bad loss?

No one is predicting Doomsday here Jack. That extreme is in your mind. No one said the season is over and the team sucks. What has been said is that there are flaws that were clearly exposed and need to be corrected to have a successful season. And that these flwas were evident even in the teams they beat early on but they were overcome with talent. No fan should be satisfied with a mediocre product and should demand or at least hope for some level of excellence.
A handful of posters proclaimed the season to be over based on our showing yesterday. About the same number of posters who proclaimed yesterday to be nothing more than a bump in the road on our way to the final four. Most of us see that this team has weaknesses which need to be corrected if we're going to be playing in the post season. We have some talent, time will tell if CMA blend them in to a cohesive/productive unit.

If that’s the case, that some are predicting a Doomsday scenario, then I missed it. I just figured Jack was referring to me since he reflected on Dinkins post. I agree it’s way too early to predict a poor season. Some believe this was a wake up call I think the issues go deeper but nothing is undoable, and no change is impossible.

The game that concerns me is at home against bottom feeder DePaul. If the team can’t be successful in that one, righting the ship may be a tough task.

I caulk up most of the doomsday comments to frustration/emotion. No one actually writes off the season after 1 loss, on the road, to a ranked team.

Predicting everything to be a doomsday scenario is the easiest role to take on a sports message board.

You’re either right when the team fails. And you get to parade around saying you were right.

Or you get to be happy when the team succeeds cause you’re a fan anyway

It’s essentially a win-win

That’s really all that’s happening

You're exactly right, and what I've never understood is people that continue to watch, pay, and invest their time in something they think is so bad. Me personally, I don't spend my time or money doing anything I don't enjoy, if the game gets so hard for me to watch because it's so bad and the basketball is so undisciplined I turn the channel and I don't goto the games, I make sure they don't get any of my support. I love my wife, been with her 12 years, but if it gets to the point, where every single day I have to tell somebody how bad and miserable she makes me, I'm getting out of that marriage, and finding somebody else that makes me happy.

Like if the team is so bad, so undisciplined, and you don't see it getting any better, why in the world are you continuing to watch it? Why put yourself through that misery? So you can tell a bunch of people you don't know on a message board you were right about something? That's pretty sad, IMO.

Making Plays, you chose to follow sju. Some of us weren’t that lucky 😄

An interesting dynamic is the "half-empty" posters getting upset when others don't match their pessimism.

Nobody would deny yesterday's loss was god awful ugly. It's just that some of us are not ready to cancel the season and fire the coach. Yes, this could be predictive of bad thing to come, but we could also win our first three conference games. Who knows.....

I know that's a back handed compliment, but in all seriousness if certain people don't like the coach or want the program to make a changes, the easiest way to get that done is don't watch the games on TV and don't go to them. As a business owner of 15 years, I can tell you, the best way to make a business make changes is affect their bottom line. Low ratings and low attendance would be the best way to get the administrations attention. Running and complaining on social media does absolutely nothing, that base represents a very minor portion of most businesses customer base and rarely is that an accurate representation of how most people feel. Just a professional tip for those wanting to see changes.

Was really just a joke. Sorry if you took it that way. You’ve been honest in the fact you weren’t a St. John’s fan prior to CMA. I personally couldn’t just not watch St. John’s. But I’ve seen a lot worse than what we have seen under cma. At least IMO.

We have no offense! Maybe we should bring the 3 man weave back.
My fear yesterday was that we wouldn't reach double digits by halftime. Unfortunately Posh is not a shooter but a slashing guard. He instinctively looks to drive rather than take jump shots. As hot-headed as he is Curbelo plays more of an all around game from the point.
After 10 turnovers against IS I would have him come off the bench in the next game to get the message about his role.

I took it as a joke. That's why I said it was a backhanded compliment 😋. maybe what I said didn't come out the right way in my response to you, because my post wasn't direct at you at all. I don't always agree with you, and things get chippy between us at times, but you're pretty fair and consistent in most of your posts, whether it's praising the team or criticizing them, I can respect that.

I'm talking about the guys, who literally do nothing but complain and point out ever single flaw ever made in every single thread, and their post count goes up dramatically after a loss. I'm not lying when I say I've had people PM me and thanking me for calling them out, because they are annoying, most people want to tell them to STFU, but don't want to get into a confrontation. I don't care, so I'll call out. Nobody logs on and wants to here a few grumpy grown men whine and complain about the same thing every single day.

Feb 1982. Georgetown 71-SJU 41. Worst game ever and we had 2 McD's AA on the floor. Crap games happen.

I'll have to look that one up, I wasn't born yet 😋

But, I seen a few games worst than this Iowa State game just last year. Allowing a bad DePaul team to score 99 points comes to mind, that was pretty much the dagger in the NCAA tournament hopes. Some of the worst defense you'll ever see on both sides was played in that game.
