You can but would you want to? One year deals allow either party to walk if it doesn’t work out.

If he can't play himself into the first round guaranteed contract, I think it makes more financial sense to take the NIL.

Though I think the names Rick says in terms of who's leaving have changed and may change again.

My understanding that is one of the reasons the decision was made for schools to become directly involved legally with NIL. Talk about slippery slopes, and I am no lawyer so there are certainly people here qualified to correct me, but how is a contract with a third party enforced to make a player and school both respect that contract?
Again, certainly way out of my comfort zone or area of expertise, but this view was shared by a D2 NJAC coach.
