I didn't see this article posted:

“Deivon Smith is going to go, he’s going to try to go pro,” Pitino said

“RJ [Luis] is going to try to go pro. They’re all going to try to make it and move on. And that’s the nature of the business.”

Pitino said in addition to Smith and Luis, Richmond and Aaron Scott will also be done after this season. He added that [New Jersey native] Sim [Wilcher] “could go.”

“So they all could go,” he said. “That’s the nature of our game today.”

Pitino said junior big man Zuby Ejiofor and junior forward Sadiku Ibine Ayo will both be back next season. “Zuby and Sadiku are not leaving my side,” Pitino said.

This is nonsense Adam Zagoria headlines.

"try to go pro" doesn't mean anything. Of course they're trying to go pro. Smith isn't going to be near any draft board, and Luis has a bit of a ways to go before getting drafted. Those guys can probably get paid more by us than in the G League as an undrafted rookie or in Europe.

The Zuby part is the one thing I'm happy to hear. A nightmare I have is a Paultz post on red.fans alluding to some random oil money Texas school giving him an offer he can't refuse.

RJ is the only potential pro prospect at this point.
They’re already Pros lol

Not sure if RJ is hitting the first round this year…

As of now- I think everyone on the roster stands to potentially make more in College next year… sadly… potentially- at another school

I love RJ!!!!!! But against X the whole team had 14 turnovers, RJ had 6 (and Sim 4). His goal should be more assists than turnovers and to never dribble when more than 2 guys are covering him. Ideally, even when 2 guys are defending him.......
He really needs to understand the value of passing and cutting to receive ball v forcing/dribbling into traffiic. He learns that, he’ll be rewarded. He also tends to get frustrated early in games if he has not scored. I always feel if he gets off early he plays a little more under control. Happy he is healthy and clearly he is a huge asset.

RJ has grown a lot this year. Right now he's still an NBA project. IMO one more year under Rick's tutelage and he's a near finished NBA product, and a likely high 1st round pick. At the end of it all, it comes downs to $$$$.

RJ doesnt belong anywhere near an nba court. Half the time he puts his head down and just dribbles into 3 guys and turns it over.

Hes 100% coming back to st johns.

When he understands that forcing the defense to respect him as a passer will make things easier for him as a driver is when things will really take off. Right now, he has to drive through 6 hands because the help defense can cheat off their man with very little risk.
