We'll somehow be #5 tomorrow and playing (and winning) Saturday for the Big East Tournament title.

I have us at 4 and auburn 5. But regardless, top 5 is excellent and 3 wins this week and we are moving up.
Found one other prediction, which also has us at #5 (ahead of Alabama).

I still think it's nearly a coin flip whether they'll pass us, we're only 3 points ahead of them and winning @ #1 carries so much weight despite the loss, but would love a top 5 ranking for the BET.
Also we may be the only Big East team ranked for it. #20 Marquette will drop out after an 0-2 week. Creighton went 2-0 this week but only has 2 AP points, so they're not getting a number. UConn has a shot since they knocked off #20 Marquette, but will be tough since they only have 4 points. Needless to say Fox is going to be rooting hard for the Johnnies to make it to the Final.
TBH I think we should drop to 7.
Bama has to rise based on beating Auburn. I'd probably put them at 4 or 5 and the teams behind them get pushed down a spot thru no fault of their own, just a better win for Bama.
Edit: but ironically even if we dropped a spot in the polls our case for a 2 seed got stronger as the separation between top 7 and the rest becomes clearer. And that's what matters

Michigan State has an excellent defense but I don’t think Michigan is as good as some think.
We should be top 5. I don’t think Alabama should get some super duper extra credit for beating Auburn. Auburn had already lost this week so it wasn’t some impossible task. Plus they (Alabama) lost too. Johnnies deserve the respect, we are ref calls/ close call shots away from an unblemished record.

Borges has us at #8, one spot behind #7 Alabama. For context, last week he had Alabama at #6 and St. John's at #8, so we actually gained a point on Alabama here despite staying at #8.
Also has UConn at #21 (up from #23 last week) and Xavier at #25 (0 votes last week). I don't expect either to make the Poll, but UConn has a shot.

This week the AP ranks don’t even show up on the scorebugs of games, the conference tournament seeds do. Kinda takes some of the wind out of it

Yep that's a good point, but a 1 by our name will look even nicer and something St. John's hasn't seen in a very long time... NOT counting the dreaded 2014 NIT Robert Morris game.
Also regardless of what the TV shows, the AP ranking definitely helps with online visibility. Personally I almost never browse for games on TV, I look at the default Top 25 section on ESPN.com first and then decide what to put on. This is the time of year where people are paying attention the most, it all still matters.
