Dauster has always been a hater

Johnnies ranked #22 in the 11/18 AP Poll (dk called it). First back-to-back ranked weeks in nearly 10 years.

Big East:
#2 UConn
#14 Creighton
#15 Marquette
#22 St. John's
---
#28 Xavier
#40 Providence

Bahamas:
#13 Baylor
#11 Tennessee

Massive week, next Monday we could be ranked anywhere from Top 10 to no votes.

Texas A&M didn’t jumped us and Ohio state fell out, so someone moved all the way up from sub 24 to 21+.

Yep that's (now) #19 Wisconsin, which beat #9 Arizona. Not an easy week to move up in the rankings.
But this week will be. Take care of business against Baylor and then probably Tenn followed by Georgia and we are inside the top 10. Lose to Baylor and then you probably play Virginia and Georgia which probably moves us out of top 25.

My guess:
3-0: ranked top 10, maybe top 5 if the second win is vs. #11 Tennessee
2-1: ranked top 25 (we'd be 6-1 with a few solid wins, even if the two wins are vs. UVA/GA)
1-2: out of rankings but maybe RV
0-3: out of rankings and not RV

IMO 2-1 and ranked is the most likely result.

Our Rutgers exhibition was one reason why we improved from unranked (preseason) to #22 after week 1. Another reason was because we beat up a couple low majors and that caused our metrics like KenPom to improve. Some AP voters do pay attention to these.

Beat Georgia, and not only will we remain ranked, but we could even move up.

NET rankings. So many questions since (at least at this juncture) there is a HUGE disconnect between these things and the eyeball test. Nova at 41? Virginia in the 50s? X someplace in the 60s?

Georgia 6-1 with win vs 32 SJU and good enough for 100th 😆

I'm almost certain that those are last year's NET rankings. It's confusing/misleading on the website since it has all of this season's records and says it was updated 11/25/24, but think the first NET rankings are dropping on 12/2 this year.

If you compare the CBS sports NET rankings above to the below link with the NCAA's final rankings from last year, looks like they are exactly the same.
