Sometimes 4 minutes is all it takes to Wake up tomorrow and it’s a W. They nearly covered a heavy spread too. For 3rd game of the year I’d gladly take it.

Our best team of all time lost to Niagara early in 84. No need to panic, yet.
At least that was on the road. They also escaped St. Bonaventure and Fordham by 1, at home. Although, with no shot clock, and no three point shot, those were probably somewhat acceptable results.
I didn't expect a finished product by this point, but we look farther ahead now, then we were at this point, last season.

The defense is massively better by leaps and bounds. The rebounding not so much. And the first half offense not at all. I think our team three point shooting is better by the eye test..
That’s what Marillac has been telling the ladies for years.
Jeff Goodman is no longer an AP Top 25 ballot voter, but last Sunday he had St. John's at #19 and just now updated us to #13. Not many teams in the 15-21 range lost this week, but we did have a better win than most, so I think we'll crack the high teens tomorrow.

After how it ended in Providence he might be renting anyway basketball aside.
Xavier better than 44 imho.

Berman (Roanoke Times): #22 / NR (+4)
Average: +1.67 (#20-21)
Looking at the 10 spots ahead of us in the Top 25, only #21 Ohio State lost, and they were beaten by #23 Texas A&M who should pass us. Wisconsin, which just beat #9 Arizona, should pass us too.
Based on other activity in the Top 25, we would likely drop one spot to #23, but our New Mexico win should get more AP voters to add us this week.
Expect a minor bump, to around #20.
