Example of why analytics and metrics can be unreliable. Clearly K St is a different team than earlier in the season when everyone was beating them. If you were discussing our resume you would note that but analytics will show us beating a much better team than who we beat in reality. Works the other way to as some teams start off great and for whatever reason fall apart.

We’re the same ranking on KP now as we were going into the Dec 31st game @Creighton. Hope that’s not a bad omen going into tomorrow’s game but goes to show the analytics think we’re about the same team now as we were before the win streak started.

Though I think back then our defense was like 15th and offense 40something now the defense is 2nd and offense is 83rd

That’s why analytics ARE unreliable. One of my favorite coaching mantras was that your opponent is only as good or bad as they play the night they are on your schedule.
