That's been the problem. Gotta beat someone ranked ahead of us, and there's only 3 teams that are.

When we play as a top 2-3 big east team we will have enough wins not to worry about it.
If 1 or 2 of the other BE teams really kill it during conf play they can move up substantially as well.

You got anyone in mind?. Conference appears quite down this year. I don't ever remember having only one ranked team before.
Just like our chances, UConn, Creighton & Marquette alsostill have potential to pull out a strong conference record.
May not be high chance but someone can pull away with 14-16 wins.
So my next thing to say would be you shouldn’t be upset if we don’t make it or make noise. And if you don’t think we are good enough then you shouldn’t be upset we didn’t beat Baylor or Georgia. Doesn’t sound like you expected it then.
I'll say it for the last time until selection Sunday, but Big East will get no less than 4 teams in. All we have to do is win most of the games in front of us including the last 3 OOC games and at least 13 in league play. Today will be a good start - Let's go Johnnies!!!

Only got 3 last year in a stronger conference. Don't see it this year.
I’m definitely confused by this lol.

Updated NET rankings show us ranked #46 and we only play one Top 25 opponent all season, Marquette #8. Georgia #26, Baylor #30, yukon #33 are currently our highest played opponents to date. We're in deeper shit than I thought. Team's nowhere as good as I expected and records don't lie.

For one, you are looking at a snapshot and saying we only play one top 25 team all year. Rankings in December are usually far different than March. Also we lost to a “then ranked” Baylor by virtue of 2 insanely lucky 3 pointers and lost to a scrappy GA team. This will be taken into consideration by the committee. To quote the classic movie Stripes….Lighten up Francis.
We lost two games by a total of 3 points. Take care of business in conference and we’ll be fine. I haven’t seen one team in this conference that we can’t beat. Marquette so far is clearly playing the best but I think we actually match up really well with them. UConn will improve but they still will not be the juggernaut that they were last year. Creighton just lost Isaacs and I thought we would beat them twice before his injury. I also believe we match up really well with Xavier. Absolutely no excuse for not being able to finish Top 3 in this league.
