2021 Mets

If deGrom finishes his career with the Mets, he could be the first pitcher in MLB history to make the HOF with a losing lifetime record

and multiple homocides of teammates on his record when he finally loses it.

I’ve watched a bunch of bad Mets teams in my life...

but this has gotta be the most unwatchable and unlikeable Mets team I’ve personally watched. They are just a nothing team. No personality, no heart, a bunch of head cases. They’ve let the “can’t hit for DeGrom” thing get into their heads and now they can’t hit for anyone. Disgrace

and Don’t reply to me and say “oh it’s early” yea it’s early and this is still despicable baseball we are seeing from this club

Agree 1000%

I gave up on the Knicks right before their 9 game win streak and I gave up on the Mets last night.

They’ve now torched Zach Wheeler in the first inning. I need to employ “tough love” more often it clearly works

So who is Donnie Stevenson that Conforto and Alonso credited with the improvement of the Mets hitting after the Saturday and Sunday games???  Does Syd Finch return with an alias???

Chili Davis out. Steve Cohen “ our bats were too cold with Chili “

I thought he said "to many trips to the bathroom with Chili".

So Alderson thought Luchessi would be our fifth starter. Interestingly, after his last disaster, he felt he had good stuff - would have fooled me. I really was hoping Reid - Foley  would have been given the start instead, especially since his excellent outing about 10 days ago.

Win at home, .500 on the road, so ther should be no complaints about splitting in St. Louis, but...

”oh, those bases on balls!” - Frankie Frisch/George Stallings

Mets score 3 runs on bases loaded walks, 11 free passes in total.  And the one big hit they got was a bases loaded single that plated ONE run.  A win is a win, but it makes me shake my head.  And the one run given up?  Unearned.  Bad defense will kill us in the end (or likely mid-season).  That said, only one game back, not too bad.  And Lindor got a hit, only 37 points below Mario’s benchmark.

I think Desarcina is gun shy after having a runner cut down at home this week. Agree with Hernandez yesterday about his criticism of Desarcina on holding the runner at third. Got to take chances especially since we can't score runners.

They clearly got into it. They want to keep it in the clubhouse. Media asks a million questions anyway. Lindor finally gets a big hit.

Maybe this is what Lindor/the team needed.  Good on him and McNeil and the team not saying anything. That’s the way it should be.
