2020 Giants Football
I'd start McCoy next week and give him the 1st half just to see what he has. If nothing then it's Jones for the rest of the season. Giving Mccoy 1 half of a game won't kill jones growth.
McCoy is at the tail end of his career. There is no upside to playing him. Benching Jones for McCoy can only hurt him psychologically. Jones hasn't played well but he has literally nobody around him without Barkley. The line is terrible and the skill players aren't much better.

Jones is in a similar situation as Darnold. The Jets can't stay healthy and are playing "minor league" guys on the line and at the skill positions.

It's hard to tell if Jones and Darnold will eventually be starting caliber NFL quarterbacks because their support casts are so poor. If you put the best of the Giants and Jets together to form one team, they still wouldn't be a playoff contender.

Tanking for Trevor is not the answer. Without a decent line and skill position players, nobody is going to make either team appreciably better in the short term.

Darnell, is in his 3rd season, you'd like to see something in the last 8 games. If not then he has to next year.
With Jones it's another whole season of expecting nothing.
Have no patience to wait.
Giants playing for 1st pick in the draft.
If Giants and Jets both go 0-16 they should reprise the Snoopy Bowl and make them play to determine who gets the first draft pick. Game would go into OT scoreless as both teams would try to tank. Let's see who does something stupid enough to win the game. Sorry but with both teams 0-3 and future looking dismal for the rest of the season what else is there to say. The NFL really should bring professional football back to New York. Maybe reincarnate the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankee football teams.
Both teams are heaping piles of steaming dog shit right now
The only thing that can save the season for both teams is an NFL Covid 19 lockdown. They are both horrible and I refuse to watch them. Would rather read a book or watch Aussie rules Football playoffs and Aussie Rugby playoffs starting next week.

Sad that the seasons just started and it already over. They have money now they just need
A new coach and players

I'm done, I love football though so I'll be watching the pats vs. Chiefs at 4:25 instead of the rams 45 - giants 10 by game.

Fire gettleman.

Has there ever been a period in the last where the Giants and Jets have sucked so much over years ?

Jones has thrown 3 TD passes, 1 since the pitt game.
One 200 yard game in the last 4.

Eagles pass defense is horrible.

This is Jones breakout game right?
Don't count on it, but we'll see.

If you asked me 4 hours ago what would be worse the Giant game or the presidential debate never in a million years would I say the Giant game even with virtually no expectations and yet..........

I was hoping they'd lose, still in the running to get the #1 pick.
Another game where Jones fails to get 200yrds passing, 5 straight games now.
Finally anyone see jones tripping over himself? Looked like a clown.

When Giants were up 11 with 6 minutes left I foresaw Eagles getting a TD and 2 point conversion and then a game tying FG to send it into OT. Even I didn't think Lints would lose in regulation but they managed to. Giants just committed another penalty in the post game locker room.

Have you ever seen a Giants game before last night?

If gettleman is gone, then why not fire him, and get a new gm to do the trades.

I'll get some candidates including a patriot front office guy that I seen mentioned.

Timing could be an issue. I could be mistaken, but I don't think other teams have to let people interview in season. So they might not be able to replace him with the candidate of their choice until after the season is over.
Easy fix for the trade issue you mentioned. All trades have to be approved by ownership.

Exactly. Gettleman won't be back. He will either retire or move internally to a cushy non GM role. Thats how the Mara and Tisch families will handle it.

Firing him now does nothing. Unless you plan to hire someone who doesn't work for an NFL team. Contracts are through the end of the NFL year. So sit tight sure a player or two might be traded but Judge and ownership will be signing off. Gettleman is nothing more than a puppet at this point.
