2019 NY Giants

Jenkins should shut his mouth. I watched backup TEs beat him yesterday. He’s part of the problem. An old expensive part
What he said is the truth though:
"“He’s just sitting there patting the ball,” Jenkins said of Allen. “We got to get pressure on him. We can’t say how we made adjustments. If you give any quarterback eight seconds in the pocket, he’s gonna find open receivers.

“I can’t cover nobody for 10 seconds. Who can cover somebody for 10 seconds? Go look at it within the first five seconds of the route. He’s not open. If he’s scrambles and we ain’t got no pressure, what you want me to do?’’

Good article after the Dallas game.

Yes and no. He's not wrong that pressure is missing and desperately needed.

But also you are supposed to cover your man until the whistle. Or cover your zone area until the whistle. You don't say oh well its been 10 seconds I did my job.
He's paid as a top CB in the league and the Bills backup TE was outrunning him. That's a problem. He was thrown to 7 times and gave up 7 receptions. Not good jill bunny.

This league is chalk full of prima donnas now. Quickly becoming the NBA where they want to play where only they want to play. Brown, Ramsey who else.
Actually I thought he sucked last year, gave a half ass effort in coverage.

https://nypost.com/2019/09/17/daniel-jones-named-giants-starting-quarterback-as-eli-manning-benched/
Is the defense being benched next ?
GM?
Eli is not the problem, I think they are just sending a message to the rest of the team.
Nah, Eli is never the problem, one playoff game since 11 and that being a beat down at GB, but eli is never ever the problem.
Just because he's not part of the problem doesn't mean he's part of the solution. I think trying to run an offense that works for Eli is part of the problem though. The entire team is substandard besides Barkley and Engram.

GM left the team with the cupboard bare, not Eli. Ridiculous.

Jabril Peppers is awful. Should have kept Landon Collins.

Janoris Jenkins looks like a 30 year old cornerback (he is) that has lost a step.

DeAndre Baker doesn't even look like an NFL player

This is all part of the reason EVERYONE IS OPEN!

Hope Janoris runs his mouth again this week. None of those throws were after 10 seconds of no pressure.

I can't remember but when has the Giant defense been this bad ?

Barkey in a boot. Ughhhh

But Daniel Jones looks like the real deal
Terrible missed tackle by Janoris.
He just one upped himself with another doozy

I’ve never understood why teams cheap-out on kickers. It’s one of the most important scorers on a team. Kickers often score more points than QB’s. You win games with good, veteran kickers.

How about the delay of game before the kick

Missed that part, just saw that there was a penalty.
